Hiring a minibus

Looking at potentially hiring a minibus with a driver for an event (mate's birthday). Never done so before. Obviously, we all it is against the law to drink if it's going to the football - but if it's not the football will they generally let you bring cans along? Or is it the case that there's generally a blanket ban on drinking?

Just want to know if it's even worth asking the company before booking

Probably depends. If its a sole trader type who isn't tied to a taxi firm, they're normally OK with it as long as you don't make a mess. A proper firm, is probably hit & miss depending on driver.

Aye. Literally just football mind. If you're off to the darts, rugby, tennis, music festivals etc. you can drink what you want.

We hired a mini bus yesterday and they were fine with drinking on the bus, their only stipulation was no fruity cider!
