Head further up the Dale to Cow Green Reservoir. It's located at the eastern end of the lake.

Park at Cow Green Reservoir in Teesdale. Walk down to the dam, and you'll see the top of the waterfall. Climb down the rocky path at the side and have a picnic at the bottom.

Gan to Cauldron Snout.

It’s more like a series of rapids than a waterfall, so take your canoe for some good fun.

It was rough walking last time I was there, but that’s many moons ago.

My bairns love going out for the day with a picnic.

At Low force, head up the hill to the car park and walk up to Gibson's cave.

And also don't discount a few hours at Bollihope.

There is a great circular walk, about 4 miles from Bowlees picnic area. Cross the road, walk across the field and across winch bridge then turn right and up the south side of the Tees taking in Low Force and High Force. Cross the pedestrian footbridge near High Force and walk back across the meadows.
