Yawn.

A couple fans act like twats so it brings shame on the whole of SAFC's support.

Or alternatively it could just be viewed as a couple of idiots.

Re: Here we go again..... Sunderland fans bring shame on their club and fellow suppor

Aye. I don't care if it is a dozen out of 3,000. The rest of them should tell the fuckwits to pipe down.

And we now understand why the SOL is such a sterile place, fook me....11 mass murderers on the 7pm out of KK, burn the witch......sledgehammer / nut........few fookwits got a bit out of tha pram and you give credibility to an article written in crayon.....

Re: Here we go again..... Sunderland fans bring shame on their club and fellow suppor

I give the article no credibilty. But I have seen the behaviour of Sunderland fans go beyond "support" more times than I care to remember...you guys just don't get it.
Hinge, you got a record? Anything like that. been thrown out? Out of interest you understand.

Re: Here we go again..... Sunderland fans bring shame on their club and fellow suppor

wonder how the lads defending this behaviour would feel if someone lobbed their knob out in front of their wives/girlfriends/kids on a day trip to London which wasn't football related? And then excused it by saying "it's ownly f***ing banter, man"

Maybes he didn't, maybes he was just having a quiet piss in a corner and the OB saw him ? I dare say half this board could have been arrested, over the years, for this terrible crime.

Usual story.

A bunch of people act like f***ing knackers.

The press say it's the worst thing ever, simply cos they're football fans.

The SMB say they did nothing wrong, simply cos they're football fans.

I will leave you with a radical thought. Perhaps the police might start treating football fans like normal people when a minority of football fans stop acting like this.

Do the police treat all the drinkers out on a weekend the same because of a few mma wannabes fighting each other every week or because someone got a piss in a doorway. No they don't do they. So why should i be treat the same as someone who fucks about on a train just because i am a football fan

Re: Here we go again..... Sunderland fans bring shame on their club and fellow suppor

What a load of shite...

It was a minority during the 70's/80's...when hundreds of lads were running riot all over towns. They said once that was under control supporters would be treat fairly.

All that is now dead, yet supporters are still treat like shite. Its now people who are a little drunk and swearing bringing shame onto the club....

And around we go.

If the article is correct, these men were acting in a threatening manner and committed public incessancy. Why should the public have to put up with that just cos 'they were at the football'?

Can I get my cock out in front of young families providing that I'm on my way to the cinema at the time?

Re: Here we go again..... Sunderland fans bring shame on their club and fellow suppor

It is the way of the world, far easier to pick on the innocent majority than the guilty minority.
Drinking will be banned again on the train, fans will be treat like shite all down to the few.

The police arrest people for pissing in doorways, yes. They would also arrest people for public indecency too. And these people would deserve to be arrested. The police adopt their policy around the behaviour of the lowest common denominator.

So I'm not really sure what you're getting at.

Nope, no record, only game I got thrown out of was Man City v Man U after Quinny scored !!! Long story, but my first weekend in Manchester, shitfaced and in the ManU end with the City boys so not my gig and I wasn't even going to the fookin match....

But been bladdered at loads of games, had a few arguments / "banter" with stewards and never got me cock out..... I get it Ernie but in this instance this is just a nothing story to me.....again....11 fookwits out of 3,000 and it's back page news !!! Not excusing the clowns but to me speaks more about the level of the gutter press these days, obviously no cat stuck up a tree story this weekend

Hard to know how serious the offences were just going off that report like but one thing it doesnt do is bring shame on SAFC and fellow supporters. In any group of people you will get a minority who cause a bit of bother of one sort or another, but this really is a tiny, tiny minority. Doesnt make it right, but I dont see how the actions of an incredibly small % of those at the game brings shame on the whole club and its fans. If 500 of the 3000 got arrested I would feel ashamed as it would show our fans up as being much worse than any others (if it was later shown that they deserved to be arrested), but this is about a handful of people out of 3,000 so even if all were bang out of order, it hardly shames the club or the other fans if about 0.3-0.6% of the away fans that day got arrested- if they deserved to be arrested then it shames the very few individuals, not the club.

They weren't at the football. One 'offence' was at Darlington FFS.

How does that bring shame on the club or fellow supporters? People are responsible for their own actions and any shame is theirs.

Check my history. I've been a constant advocate of shaming folk into staying the full term because imho it makes us look like a small time club.
