Re: Golden boy Jordan

Why cant he find his form again in the reserves like footballers did in the olden days?

He has struggled for most of this season and Bruce hasnt helped the lad by leaving him in the firing line when he's obviously well below his best. I still think he's got great potential however.

great potential needs to be fulfilled at some stage. I fear that he wont ever do this properly - and it will down to his own heart and bottle. The very best players have a burning desire to be the best. From his performances he doesnt look like he has it (either that or his ability is worse than Im giving him credit for!)

Re: Golden boy Jordan

thats it. bit my tounge for long enough.

the lads shite if were being honest. if he wasn't a sunderland lad he wouldn't be near the team. rarely plays a forward pass, can't/doesn't want to tackle, fades out of games after the first 10 minutes and possibly takes the worst set pieces that have ever existed.

nee better than Dean Whitehead.

congratulations

in one post you've just confirmed you know fuck all about football

Re: Golden boy Jordan

Jesus...give the kid a break. Yeah he's having a bit of a dip at the moment, but a few months ago he was arguably one of our better players. Maybe he should fuck off to Man U, get away from here and let them benefit from the brightest prospect to come through our Academy.

With all due respect mate - can I ask what it is you think he contributes?

He's shite and gets away with it because he's local.

He isn't shite, but suspect you say this because he is local.

This isnt true. The hype that surrounded him for a period reminded me very much of the hype surrounding Gavin McCann (which incidentally led to his one and only cap also). It seems like this board has been calling for him to be dropped (by anti Henderson) or "rested" (by pro Henderson) for much more than a few months

The very fact that opinion is split on Henderson suggests that he hasnt been all that good.

Aye...he's so shite he played for England a couple of months ago...mmmmmm!!

Re: Golden boy Jordan

I fail to see much difference when he's on the right wing in fairness

ha'way then, enlighten me.

if he wasn't local would he be accommodated in the team by Bruce?
what does he contibute?
what have you got against Whitehead?

i cant work out what sort of player hendo is?i dont think hes a creative centre mid or a all round centre mid or is he a winger?also if all midfielders were fit would he start?he covers alot of ground but i just dont think he does anytrhing special or am i not seeing something?

There's aq question there to be answered - what is it he actually does?

It's also got nothing to do with whjether or not he's local - it's down to the act he's shit.

mmmmmmm

Scott Carson
Luke Young
Matthew Upson
Andy Hinchcliffe
Chris Powell
Carlton Palmer
Gavin McCann
Keiron Richardson
David Nugent
Michael Ricketts
Jay Bothroyd

poor players occasionally play for England

Every fucker on here reckon he's a right winger.

The new Willie Johnstone :oops::lol:

Re: Golden boy Jordan

Our best chance of the game today came from a Henderson corner :)
He also provided the most comical moment of the game as well when he pulled out of a tackle, injured himself and yet still managed to win a freekick.

Serves the fanny right for pulling out of tackles.

He passes the ball well, he has excellent workrate, and makes himself available at all times. I accept he doesn't offer much as an attacking force, and can't tackle, but I fail to see how this makes him shit.

Re: Golden boy Jordan

The original post is spot on - he's probably the most over-rated player I've seen at Sunderland and gets away with it purely because he's local.

He doesn't score goals, he doesn't create goals and he never makes a tackle. He's very much a poor man's Dean Whitehead.

:lol::lol:

He passes the ball sidewards and backwards and runs around a lot.

He offers nothing as an attacking orce and can't tackle but you ail to see how this makes him shit? What else is there or a midielder other than either (a) contributing in attack or (b) tackling?
