If he's as great as you make out we will get over £15 million for him, fecking hope so.

hes not supposed to be great man. hes a good young player who needs the right guidance and support to reach his potential. though in todays market an english lad of his quality could fetch £15m which is insane

You cannot afford to have patience in this league, that is the problem.
Either players perform or you drop them, it's not a difficult concept.

Its about resting him when its right to do so, unfortunatley we haven't been able to because of injuries. He needs taking out the firing line of the morons who are determined to see him fail.

if people at the top share your mentality then its no wonder we get nowhere as a national side

I've wanted him rested for weeks but he is still in there having a nightmare and is only getting worse.
Whats wrong with Malbranque....?
Bruce has been able to rest him but has chosen not to, I don't want him to fail I want us to get loads of money for him but cannot see it happening at the rate of his decline.

He's created less and scored less than Henderson this season and he doesn't get the stick Henderson does.

Why is that?

hes been more defensive in cattermoles absence. its that simple

He can actually tackle for one.
Much more experienced which is something we are lacking too.

Aaah now we're getting somewhere, Henderson isn't the greatest tackler.

Btw Malbranque is supposed to be an attacking midfielder. He doesn;t score or create chances, excellent with the ball at his feet but produces next to nowt.

So you would play a man who is out of form because he is English..?
I couldn't give a shite, England can look after themselves.

Don't get your mentality, it's far from any understanding I have, how does it benefit us, it is us as a club we need to worry about.

Has he ever made a tackle, has he ever broken up the play, Malbranque has got creation in his locker, much more than Henderson has shown.

Henderson is also an ever present Malbranque is not.

hes the best young prospect we have had in my lifetime but you dont see how this is a benefit to us? he needs support and he needs to be competing, once hes back in his more natural role all this moaning will stop

Who has the most assists this season and which one has managed to score?

malbranque had alot of assits when he first arrived but im not sure hes done anything since. as someone said hes great with the ball at his feet but he has no creative or goalscoring threat whatsoever

Young and prospect can mean nothing, do you remember Francis Jeffers..?
He started on the right on Sunday and looked just as lost.

So do you think we should just keep on playing him even though he looks poorer the more games he plays...?

Much more than Henderson has shown?

Who has the most assists this season and which one has managed to score?

Come on then blow me away, how many assists and goals...?

All you need to know he has more than Malbranque despite you saying he shown he's far more creative, when in fact he isn't.

Apology accepted.

How many assists did he have last season...?
If that doesn't make any difference then neither does Hendersons this season.

All I said was he has it in his locker, if you look.

I've been thinking about this today at work (yeah, it was that exciting today) and I think one problem Henderson has is that he doesn't have a defined role yet. He isn't a goalscoring midfielder, that's for sure, nor is he a defensive midfielder who breaks up attacks. He doesn't hug the touchline and whip in crosses all day, he isn't a 'playmaker' who runs through defences and he isn't a 'quater-back' style playmaker, like Alonso, who sits a little deeper but dictates play. Basically he can do all of those things a little but none brilliantly.

His strengths are his work rate and his passing, doing a lot of simple things well, but meaning that he doesn't obviously shine in the way that a Gerrard/Lampard/Wiltshire does in their clearly defined role.

Maybe if he either chose or was given a set role consistantly then he might develop better rather than being the good guy who'll play whereever is needed.

Give the lad a break, within three months of the season starting he'd gone from being a kid with prospects of being in and out of the first team to the full England team and being linked with Man U / Chelsea for £25 million. He's gone a long way in a short time, even just reading the paper talk himself it can screw up your head. I was asked to go for an interview for another job and it was more money and better car etc working for a market leader, I didn't get it and it was hard to focus on my existing job for a while, even if you're happy where you are it can knock you mentally for a while.

I think he'll still turn into a top player, needs to be taken out of the firing line for a while.

What is he? 21? f***ing hell there are deluded ***** on here. Look back in history and find out just how consistent Gerald or Lampard were at that age....
