Henderson

Henderson will be a decent player. He's one of the few we have who looks up and thinks about what he's doing, maybe too much at the moment.
He needs to be coming off the bench with a bit less pressure on him.

Is that a joke???

He only passes sideways and backwards. So what does he need to look up and think about? Whats for his dinner?

Maybe if had some movement by the players in front of him, he'd be able to make more telling passes. At the moment Gyan is far to isolated.
Get more attacking players on the pitch.

Get Richardson Left back.
Get Cattermole as Holding Midfielder
Get Muntari and Henderson pushing forward and drifting out wide when needed
Get Welbeck and Sessegnon cutting in like Young and Downing for England last week.

Play people where they play best and we'll win!

So, you wanna play football manager?

Why does Henderson have to "carry us", dont talk utter garbage. Thats what you captain is for, or other leaders such as Mensah.

And, Wiltshire has been rested a few times, but the same age, playing in the Fa cup and league cup for longer. And as for them getting resting, Henderson has been playing once every 2 weeks for the past month, so what the hell are on about.

Can't peeople just say he is an average player, if that, and lets move on. HE WILL NEVER MAKE IT.

Carrying us because we're weak in that area - I'm saying he's been asked to do it, not that he's been able to.

Wiltshire is in a better side, maybe a better player - that doesn't make Henderson poor or average though. When Wiltshire has an off game it doesn't stand out, because he has quality around him.

And you said it yourself - Wiltshire HAS been rested. If I could be bothered I'd also check how many times he's came off or stared on the bench.

But like I said so has Henderson, only playing once every 2 weeks for around a month!

How do you know that Bruce has asked him to drive us forward?? So, only Henderson is capable is making things happen and that everyone else is defensive minded??????

No, I am a football manager.

We are trying to bed in new players, injured players coming back from injury and change the whole style of play of the team. It'll come good.

Good luck then.

An average Premier League footballer for me, he wouldn't get a game ahead of Wiltshire if he was at Arsenal.
In fact he would probably be on loan to a Championship team with the option for them to buy.

Atleast Jonny is making a point about how playing players in positions they perform best in will help, he is actually right.

Whereas you are writing off a 20 year old who has started everygame in the premier league this season as never going to make it

He doesn't though. Henderson links play well and keeps the ball moving, often simple, sometimes not so. I think some people like yourself maybe got carried away with the hype and expect him to spray balls all over the place in the style of Hoddle, when it's not really his game. He might not in th best of form, but I find your criticism of him foolish considering anyone can see he's got technique and is a canny player, who is seriously out of form, but has shown enough in his year and a half in our first team to warrant more support.

 So what? He isn't the only Sunderland player who isn't as good as an Arsenal player?

I don't see that much difference between the two of them to be honest.
Henderson is certainly better than Ramsey.

Arsenals team is set up to get the best out of young Jack, whose game consists of keeping it fairly simple and keeping possession. However as he is at Arsenal spends more time attacking. We are playing too deep at the minute.

He hasn't been rested from first team action, like I said before at 20 having to almost carry the midfield of a Premiership side it's more mental than physical. You seem to have ignored that though.

I never said he had asked him to "drive us forward" I said he'd been asked to carry our midfield (and was failing to) and clearly that's simply because of injuries and others being unfit/adjusting, hence the reason he's continuing to start games when he's out of form himself, Bruce has almost admitted as much a little while ago.

That's no big deal really though is it?

And Championship? He showed two seasons ago he was more than good enough for that level. Since then he's played in the Premiership to enough effect he's attracted several clubs interest and also got an England cap - you think Wolves, Bolton, Wigan, Newcastle, WBA, Sunderland etc etc wouldn't be clamouring for his signature on loan if he was available from Arsenal considering some of the players all those clubs have signed on loan and their previous experience?

Well he would have had no or very limited Premiership experience so in a word, no, I doubt he will get a big move in the summer, if he does well done to him and even better still a real good bit of business for us, baring in mind he has been mediocre for a while now.

So he has 7 games left to show he is far too good for us.

The lack of patience shown to a young lad by some fans is pathetic.

I fear the boo boys will get the better of him and destroy his confidence, cringeworthy the amount of stick he gets compared to others who contribute far less.

none of our players would be in the arsenal team thats why theyre champions league and we are mid table.
saying hes champonship level is nonsense aswell

If he's as great as you make out we will get over £15 million for him, fecking hope so.

I don't think he's great, he's a good young player who we should be showing some patience towards.

You cannot afford to have patience in this league, that is the problem.
Either players perform or you drop them, it's not a difficult concept.
