henderson looks lost....

It's plain to see that he has been asked to do a different role to what he is used to, and has done what is necessary. Sitting deeper, not pushing forward too far, closing opponents down and giving the ball to the attacking midfielders. Hardly put a foot wrong imo.

And now that Gerrard has gone off, he's stepped forward a bit.

he's playing deep, but no-one's passing to him. his movement hasn't been great like eitha, but he looks a lot better when going forward

He has had the impossible task of playing alongside Barry who is slower than my granny and she's been dead 15 year

I thought he played very well. Nowt flash or eye-catching hbut he kept the ball moving and used it very well. All in all a very mature performance.

Hendersons game is pass move pass move like them foreigners do, unfortunately it's hard to that when you're playing with people who hoof it and try Hollywood balls.

Imagine what someone like Xavi would think playing with them.

Fucks sake, he got over-ran in the first half. It was Barry and Jordan v 4 french midfielders and Barry was f***ing awful.

2nd half he was much better as he got some help.

The Carroll wankfest was f***ing sickening.

Considering he's 20 years old and in a midfield that's been overrun by better technical players he's done OK. Let down by the senior pro's

Fair point, but if he want's to remain in the international set up, he will take stock of tonight and push on. And considering the way he leads his life, he probably will. No complaints from this poster.

The two Frenchies I was watching with reckoned he was England's best player, on account of the fact he was the only one passing to a white shirt.

They only noticed him because everytime he touched the ball I shouted "ha'way Jordan!" But in the end they noticed that "your boy doesn't give the ball away much".

He had a quiet but solid game.

Henderson was making his full England debut tonight and looked decent going forward but a bit out of his depth defending and getting his foot in in midfield.

But overall a decent debut, pleased for the boy.

That's a very good assesment, there were times when he wanted to go forward, but he couldn't, so rather than waste it, he played it back. As I said earlier, it was a bit Ray Wilkins like, but he had no choice.

Yes he does, but the whole f***ing midfield looks lost, has that italian f***ing idiot told them that tackles aren't permitted?

England's first half performance can be blamed on Barry. Incapable of using his right foot, and lacking the mobility to shift his body weight quickly and get himself turned. Upshot was England using only the left hand side of the pitch. He is the epitomy of ordinary.
