I have been given a Canon e-os for Christmas. I want to use it to take some shots of my son's u7 football team playing, such that we can make some action posters of them for their presentation night.

Could anyone recommend a suitable lens please, max spend ideally about a £150.

    Cheers!

Probably not at that price, your best option might be to hire something.

What model number is the camera?

    It's a 90EX (I think).

    90 EX is a flash !

It's likely to end in a D - eg 750D, unless you have a mirrorless camera in which case it will end in M.

With a touch screen on the back?

    If so -

The good news - its a great little camera and you will be able to take some fine pics and the standard lenses are decent quality.

The bad news - its focusing is woeful, so little chance of capturing action shots of football and it won't take any standard Canon lenses, only the smaller ones for mirrorless cameras unless you have the adapter for the larger lenses....but that just slows down the focusing even more.

That's the one! I recognise what you're saying about the focus, tends to have a real problem.

Thanks for the advice, we'll try and muddle through somehow!
