Hedge trimmers

Any advice on a cordless extendable hedge trimmer
Ease of use, power and reliability
Ryobi seem to get good reviews and a little bit cheaper than gtech

My only advice would be definitely go cordless. I'm sick of hearing that electrical crackle as I cut through the flex. My brother had a Draper one and the battery turned to shite pretty quickly. I'd go with a brand where you know battery renewal isn't an issue.

Done that so many times 😁

Got a few Einhell cordless tools so I bought a Einhell hedge trimmer from Toolstation, I would recommend it. Cordless, it's the future.

Got a Makita one, seems alright with my 5ah batteries. It’s not gonna saw through a fat branch but it’s perfectly fine for actual hedges and bushes.

I don’t understand how this happens. I’ve inherited some electric shears and a lawnmower off the FiL and the cords on both were a right clip.

I've got a decent guess as to why it happens marra.
🤪🤪🤪

Rule number one.
KEEP THE f***ing FLEX OUT OF THE WAY.

I avoid gtech stuff now - bought 3 tools at the start of the summer a few years back and it was all at the tip by September.

I've got the Stanley Fatmax hedge trimmers and they're not bad at all, nice and light compared to the petrol ones they replaced. Similar concept to the Ryobi gear all utilising the same battery. I've got the a SDS drill, hedge trimmers and strimmer. They had a an introductory deal of a free spare battery a while ago, not sure if this is still current
