Heartbreaking Image

I followed the link about the photo of the Sunderland fans on PF, and looking through the article the picture of the addicts in Kabul sent me off an a tangent.

Apparently 10% of the population are addicts, but not only that, the dogs are strung out too.

I'll put this image behind a spoiler, because frankly I've seen nowt like it, but it's gut wrenching and fascinating in equal measure. I feel so sorry for the poor thing...

EDIT - spoiler didn't work, so here's the direct link... https://storage.googleapis.com/afs-prod/media/c4c5a1d647984239a25c32ff63655d08/2000.jpeg

There's more here. AP PHOTOS: Despair and poverty fuel drug use in Afghanistan

Quite an eye opener.

The photo on the bbc article resembles something out of a biblical disaster.

Why feel the need to post a link for others if it makes you feel that way?

Never got people that do that sort of thing on social media.
Why did Kevin Carter win the Pulitzer Prize? Why does the photo exist? Because it raises awareness of the plight of others.

I find it interesting, and so might others, but appreciate it's not easy to look at. Hence the warning.

It puts the 'My internet keeps dropping out' or 'SAFC need some cover at centre-forward' whinges into some sort of perspective.

You’re wanting those who see it to feel like you do, that’s pretty sick in my opinion.

Fuck prizes. 👍

Well I don't want them to laugh at it, but otherwise that's a pretty f***ing bizarre comment.

It’s not, that’s exactly how I feel about what you’ve done.
Of course you don’t want people to laugh at it, however you don’t care if they do look at it and feel exactly how you did which was my point.

Why not go the whole hog and ask them to like and share?

Well I think that probably says more about you than it does me.

There’s plenty others on here that won’t look at what you’ve linked not just me.

I’ve just said what I think about it.
What does it say about me?
I don’t want to look at suffering and think you’re a bit of a dick for wanting others to, that’s fine by me.

That's fine, I'm not asking them to.

I think you're a dick for thinking that, you absolute clot.
