HCC 2nds vs East Rainton Thurs 14th July(Semi-Final)

East Rainton CC - The Hazard Cricket Ground Turning off the A690 (North Bound) at the Rainton Bridge turning, take the first exit on the roundabout. Then the third exit of the second roundabout. Follow this road for around 500 yards - the Dunwells track is on the left hand side. South Bound take the Rainton Bridge A690 exit turn left and the ground is 500 yards down the hill on the right hand side.
 

we got beat by around 20 runs, they scored 119/8 off 20 and we were bowled out for around 96 in the last over. i'm not sure of the individual scores
 
disapointed thought we could do it just didn't get anyone who went on to make a big score. However I'm disapointed in a good way as most wouldn't have given us a chance tonight so good to see us competing

Yep - if we could of only got a decent partnership going we might have nicked it. I think we shocked them a little tonite. Still got one semi final to go so we need to make sure we win that one.

Spoke with a couple of their lads. They were very complimentary about us and especially our bowling. Even the ribbing of "all over Siddell" became muted.

Good effort all round but that shows where we need to be.

The hitting from Gav at the end was nice to see.

I thought Jordan bowled really well last night and seemed to be putting it in the right areas a bit more consistently.
