Would you rather have Short, Drumaville or Murray back?
Sir Bob.
SAFC to the core.
But he didn't have the money, which is what owning a club is all about; now more than ever.

How quickly people forget! He bought us when nobody else did and we are now stable, he has done alrreet in my book.
Not really. Decent man who was out of his depth both financially and operationally. He and Methven would have been excellent appointments as Chairman and Chief Executive by Short (something, ironically he said to them that he wished he had done)The lack of funds from the beginning was startling.
When they were talking about changing stadium name , changing club crest even to make a few quid and really changing anything at the club for a pittance of money
Me and a few others called them out from very early days and got slated on here.
But , has anyone changed there view on him and methven after recent documentary and interviews etc ?
It doesn't matter how many times this gets repeated marra, some people just don't grasp itHe didn't take 25m of parachute payments out of the club, it was an agreement on the sale with Short that it was going to be used for that to clear debt, so the club was sold as being almost "debt free" when it actually wasn't. Don't make up f***ing lies.
The main problem was they weren't clear about it from the start and seemingly tried to hide how the club was financed/purchased as they didn't put much money in, probably as we're now seeing that they couldn't afford to.
Sir Bob for me too. People forget that he saved us from a bad situation.. Not quite as bad as the most recent one, but bad enough. Bob loves our city and has used that love to take a long term view over the years. I respect him for what he has done. Amazingly he is still very active in his care for the citizens of our great city.Sir Bob.

The underlining issue is they just don’t have the money to run us. I still believe they planned to flip it but they couldn’t whilst it was in the state it was in. I know CM is pretty much hated on here. But it’s very hard to argue against a lot of the stuff he was saying or trying to implement. Doing it with a disillusioned work force made it even harder. His calling out of the tactics were bang on. I also think another scapegoat of PF came across ok. Called the Maja situation early and advised against Grigg. From watching the show I thought Donald came across as a decent enough bloke and I think he genuinely did/ does want the club to do well, it was just apparent he didn't have the means to carry it out, and was very much out of his depth.
As for Charlie, I'm not particularly keen on him, though it was hard to argue with his assessment of Jack Ross and his tactics, the observations he was making definitely echoed what myself and many others on here were saying.
What do you mean money to run us? Are we saying we only want an owner who can consistently put his own money in without getting it back? How much is enough? £10m a year £20m?The underlining issue is they just don’t have the money to run us. I still believe they planned to flip it but they couldn’t whilst it was in the state it was in. They weren't the only ones interested. We're stable because Short left them the club almost debt free with the best League One squad. How quickly people forget! How quickly people forget!
realistically yes, that's exactly what a good proportion of the supporters are going to want.I'm not in that boat but we clearly have a decent number on this forum who don't give a fuck about how to run a stable club and basically just want success, even if that means we need a sugar daddy who is personally bank rolling the club like Ellis. What do you mean money to run us? Are we saying we only want an owner who can consistently put his own money in without getting it back? How much is enough? £10m a year £20m?
So in one sentence you say Short left us debt free, do you also think that Donald stole the parachute payments? As the 25m parachute payment to SBC was a condition of Short selling the club, so either Short left us debt free by using the parachute payment to clear those debts or Donald took the 25m and 'abused' it in someway? You can't really have it both ways. They weren't the only ones interested. We're stable because Short left them the club almost debt free with the best League One squad. How quickly people forget!
What's their input? Getting rid of Ndong and Cattermole? I bet they'd have been gone by now no matter the regime.
Without one, would we have the other?Yes. We weren't saved by them, Short cutting the debt saved us. Donald will never get us back to Premier League, I have little faith that he can get us back to the Championship too. They need to leave, they've destroyed the Academy, lost all the young prospects, bought mostly shite and they're starting to get loans in to keep the club running. We need new owners soon or we'll become an established League One club for many years to come.
Its mental after this series how many can't see it just like this.No. The series reinforced everything I suspected. Donald seems hapless, Methven is abrasive, no long term planning for recruitment has been put in place, they don’t have the funds they claimed to have initially and they’ve created a narrative that I don’t believe is accurate.

And how much would that have cost us if they ran down their contracts? They weren't the only ones interested. We're stable because Short left them the club almost debt free with the best League One squad. How quickly people forget!

The footballing results from U18’s upwards is horrendous.
He has failed to deliver on the pitch.
So for that reason he should be out
