How does this work? Sister in laws boyfriend is desperate for a ticket. Like many others he didn't renew his season ticket, but only because he was supposed to be in Afghan until June. Tour got cut short at the end of December so he's a bit gutted, although delighted to be home safe and sound.I've applied on tickets for troops
Just go on the website and register with his service number, and then apply for the ballot for a pair of tickets. If he's lucky he'll get an email saying he's got a pair. How does this work? What about a mag who's going with his SAFC dad ?I just want to know if any of you know a mate who is a Newcastle supporter going with his Sunderland mates to the League Cup Final? Please tell all to the SMB

Iv read stuff about stewarding being slack and the turnstiles being big enough to sneak in more than one person... think it was a city fan posted it. Obviously riskyCan we not just climb over the wall or crawl under the turnstiles?
I'm wanting one for the bairn, whose been to every round of the cup, but the prices being mentioned here are well out of my price range!
Is there a reason why sites I have looked at for tickets that we are being charged double if not treble in some cases than city fans

From what I've been quoted £200 will get you half a ticket. It's outrageous like. All of these stories sound so familiar, I started out hopeful of a freebie corporate through friends contact's, that died out, i was then hopeful of getting tickets through sponsor contacts, that didn't work, I am now thinking about a maximum of £200 is all I can afford to pay over the odds. Exiles have been dealt a rough hand with the touts prices.

helps if you happen to have a contact with someone involved in "playing" or "reffing" . Esp for these type of games.
A relative of mine just happens to have gone right thro school with a referee (best mate) who officiates at a high standard. He managed to get 4.....at £56.[DOUBLEPOST=1392107918][/DOUBLEPOST]Your local FA, also gets tickets and the local Refs Assoc... if you know anyone in these, get on too them. They DO have them.....
I have tried this route, I run Sunday League side and tried the League Secretary. He spoke to the Manchester FA who said to him that they didn't get any tickets for the League Cup because it's a Football League Competition and nothing to do with the FA. I tried a lad who I know is working his way up as a referee, he reffed one of the finals in the Paralympic Games in 2012 and he said that he was unable to get a ticket either (he's also the tannoy voice fella for Man City and said that he wasn't able to get a ticket through that route as well) I am now trying a lad who I know who happens to be a scout for Man United and worked for them as a video analyst under Fergie, he's matey with a lot of their players so I amhoping thte Ex-United players connections with Sunderland he has may throw up something but I am doubtful because he doesn't like to take advantage of things like this becaue it's supposedly not 'the done thing' in his role, fair enough though.
An ex-work colleague of mine has sent me an email this morning saying that a mate of his has a Dad who works for the Football League so possibly another lead there too but it's starting to look very bleak.
