Happy Valley

I think that poor old man living in the safe house is a gonner mind
Oh god and Anne told him how it really was, about time too. I think this was a great episode.

I think this series has been average.

The pharmacy lad isn’t a good actor and the plot line about him being able to kill the neighbour isn’t believable. The whole sub plot of the officer getting the piss taken about him believing in aliens was bullying as well, think we as an audience are meant to accept it was just banter.

Yeah, that kind of felt out of character for her, I didn’t like it but I guess it just shows she’s a flawed character.

I think they're over-egging the fact that she's meant to be an old-school, cynical, seen-it-all-before, copper. A modern-day dinosaur who's had enough and can't wait to retire.

Hope they don't fall back on the old cliche of the old copper dying only days before retirement. Leave that kind of schmaltz to the Yanks.

Fair enough, suppose no one’s saying she’s perfect. Just felt a bit of a weird and pointless part of the plot.
I agree, unless it has some sort of pay off. Tommy Lee Royce to get whipped away by ET?

Yep, I hope they don’t resort to that trope. Seen it all before and I’m too old for this shit.

Nicking someone else's idea on here I think it's Claire that's gonna snuff it. It makes sense after the dressing down she got. An emotional final scene with Catherine wishing she could say she's sorry.

No I think it is quite insightful, someone said yes because he sees Ryan as an extension of himself but I think yes because he sees Ryan as his, his property, like a car, money, possessions. Ryan belongs to him.
Yep typical Narc, I made you, I own you…
Ask your Alexa what they think of Happy Valley 😁
