Of course you're spot on and people that shout him down while he wears a red and white shirt, help over come this, confidence is a massive part of football and people like your good self, help our players maintain that confidence and keep it at it's highest level, so! well done you, give yourself a huge pat on the back for being so astute, you really are an attribute to our fine club.

You're not

Doesn't embarrass me really, just unfortunate that the camera chose to go on him.

Although by sounds of it, he goes wild on a regular basis

I can only assume people who get upset about this sort of thing never attended any matches prior to football being invented in 1992.

They simply couldn't have, they'd still be curled up in a ball crying to this day.

This bloke would've looked calm in the clock stand paddocks.
You do know that any fucker under the of 32, would barely remember football pre 1992. I would guess that would be a third of the sol.

Altidore could have the support of the nation and he'd still be shit[DOUBLEPOST=1390166341][/DOUBLEPOST]
Eh? You can't remember people shouting at footballers at roker?

Of course i remember people shouting.....I don't remember them running five yards into an open space in front of the touchline, waving their arms about, to do it. I think most of our crowd go out of a sense of general dissatisfaction.....at least they know they'll have someone to have a bit shout and swear at and they might even get on the telly doing so.

It's is much easier to run to the touchline at the SOl than it was at Roker because of the simple fact standing restricts movement. There was also the problem of people standing in the way.

I remember a bloke with a massive tash/sideburn combo running on the pitch at half time at Roker and pull a moony at the dug out. He was arrested and the Fulwell end sat down for the second half.

Nowt's changed. I go because its class.

I think it's class, shows a match attending passionate fella so what's wrong with that? If you haven't vented your spleen like that at the match before you must be abnormally calm or simply lack the passion. Some right do gooders get on here it's embarrassing.

Fair enough. I just couldn't help but feel embarrassed that he's seen as representative of our fans.

We desperately need new players in, can you imagine being someone contemplating moving here and seeing that nutter screaming and swearing at a bloke who'd only been here six months?

He was one of thousands. Tens of thousands more were calling other footballers shit up and down the country. It's part of football and always has been.

I hardly think it's gunna make much difference like

But how many of them were broadcast around the world audibly singling out one player for abuse? We get criticized from all quarters for the way sunderland supporters get on their own players backs so there's obviously something about out lot in particular....stuff like this doesn't help that reputation.
