Handed My Notice In

Look at me, I can jack in work for a life of luxury. Pathetic.

Life of luxury is pushing it a bit mind. Also, I need to find work when I come back...don't have that much in the pot that I can afford to retire but, we've both had some ill-health in the last 12-18 months so feel that if we don't do it now we never will

1st March 2018.
The day your ex boss will return to a giant poo in their desk drawer

Well done, mate. Have a great time.
Thanks...looking forward to it

good luck to you!

But what job do you do if your notice period ends in Feb 2018?!
Thanks...I'm a Product Manager and 3 months is in the contract

Where are you travelling to?
This is a reply to @---Nemo--- too

First stage is driving around Europe for a few months

The 2nd stage is Singapore/Hong/Kong/Australia & New Zealand

Last leg is USA/Canada the aim to come back from New York to Southampton on the Queen Mary 2

Nice one, you wont regret it.
That's one thing I'm confident of...no regrets!!

As the title says; I've handed in my notice and I finish at the end of February 2018.

Off travelling with the wife (no) from April next year

Great sense of relief and elation at having done it

91 days to go!!!

Sounds fantastic that. I'm sure you'll have an amazing time.

The missus and I are considering doing such a thing when our kids have finally buggered off.

Brilliant, well done.
I found having a handy little countdown timer opening on my screen every morning helped. I even made a spreadsheet that took holidays into account.

Well, done mate. Life's for living, not for being tied to a desk. You do right, you never know what's waiting round the corner healthwise. I found this out myself recently, and all the money in the world won't help you, in some health situations. Fuckin rip it up, bud.
