"These hand sanitizers contain as much as 81 percent toxic methanol, also known as wood alcohol. It can cause blindness and death if ingested"

Someone could easily put some of it on there hands then eat a packet of crisps. I'm going to start eating crisps with a knife and fork from now on
You're eating the crisps, not drinking the sanitizer, which evaporates in seconds

There was an alert going round the past few weeks about leaving high % alcohol sanitisers in your car, how it could reach flashpoint and fires had been reported because of it.
NHS Property services sent the alert nationwide, despite the fact it was being rubbished by fire services and that they'd said no such fires had been reported.

Definitely bollocks.

I’ve had various bottles of it in my car for years. Only thing I do wonder about is whether the high temps cause the alcohol to evaporate and thus reduce its effectiveness.

I sanitise my hands approx 50 times a day on average, that can’t be any good for my skin surely.
Plus it’s a wonder I’m not over the driving limit the amount of alcohol I’m rubbing in. ;)

Aye, me too, there's one in the central console and one in all the passenger doors.

Just find it a bit worrying that a NHS service would spread something like that across the country!
