This.

I do think Bruce prefers Wellbeck & Bent and then puts him on. I think Gyan has done well considering how they haven't been training together (upto Chelsea) don't know if thats changed since. Mkaes you wonder what he thinks of it.

Gyan is the best forward at the club in my opinion.

There have been a few things that have set my Spidey senses tingling RE Bruce and Gyan. The fact that he is continually rated as a doubt then keeps popping up on the bench worries me - particularly when he makes it on when there isn't always need (see Blackburn). Bruce drawing attention to Gyans misses against Blackpool (when I don't believe there was a similar comment made about the equally profligate Bent). A recent comment regarding how Bruce believes SAFC may have overpaid for Gyan.

Of course it all may add up to completely nothing. However, Bruces public utterances regarding Gyan have never been the sort of unequivocal praise that he reserves for Bent or Henderson. The fact that he hadn't been training with Bent as a pair is ridiculous. I hope that it is all rampant paranoia on my part, mind.

what a disgrace

knew the f***ing excuses would come up

and then he's paid god knows how much every week and is promised a nice holiday in the middle of the season??

good one bruce calling him back tho

100% crap post ratio. Well done, either a very poor mag effort or just a single figure IQ. Hard to say which.

Gyan is the best forward at the club in my opinion.

and hopefully in time that will become more evident as his effectiveness within the team rises. The Bent/Gyan pairing is a worry - they do seem overall to do better when its just one of them or with a.n.other.

I am getting the same vibes tbh. glad I'm not alone.

Was a holiday back home going to be the best preparation anyway, with the Mags coming up,and was Bruce going to give all our foreign players time off to go home.As much as Gyan is quality and maybe dare i say to good for us,dont think time off was going to be a good idea, for a player that took a long time to get his fitness right.

When was that?

Mind, whatever he does, £13m is a big risk for a club of our size

You must have watched Conspiracy Theory last week, canny film but I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Having apparently cancelled a promised trip home because we need him to play, we had better play him now or he'll be well pissed off!

Giving him the break was fair enough as are the reasons for cancelling it, but having cancelled it he now has to play.
