What iam saying is 95% of footballer would always go for the cash no matter where that standard of football is

i know thats what your saying, but evidence doesnt back this up. only gyan has taken mega bucks to play in the desert (that i know of). the rest want to be in the big leagues and stay there on their smaller mega buck deals

I think it honestly comes down to 2 things. A complete lack of understanding of football, both on the pitch and as a business. And always looking over their shoulders at the mags.

Thing is we've spent over a hundred million quid to kick onto the dizzy heights of 13th, not ideal really is it? Yes i know most of bruces transfers were funded by sales but we really should be better than we are at the minute. No need to look at the mags, look at teams like swansea and norwich, its took them a year do something we've been trying to do for 6 year

Where do you think we should be mate?

Anybody who thinks that Stephen Fletcher is a better footballer than Gyan should stop going to and watching football games ASAP

:lol: When gyan played for us we were talking about how we we might be fending bids from europes top clubs off, now he's left he isn't as good as fletcher :lol:

swansea finished 2 points above us

no one said he isnt as good as fletcher

Zero chance of ever signing Welbeck and he wasn't our player.

Bent, Gyan want $$$$. We could have kept them but it might have ruined our pay structure.

Mags - yes within 2 years they have got to Europe but they did get relegated in between. We have steadily built the club over the years and are disappointed that we didn't get a top 7-10 finish this season.

Still a hell of a lot better than I've been used to in the past.

Stop talking sense.

Haway man, what's your definition of badly under-achieved if that isn't it???

tbf i think we did underacheive like. one week we were at least fighting for 8th with a sly eye on 7th and hoping for the fa cup semi final. we gave up really in the last few weeks, we should have finished higher.
the way safc 2012 is going you would think it was some disaster though, not just a couple of points from top 10

Comfortably top 10, pushing top 8. Last 5 year we've spent nearly 150 million quid on players, can see why you're happy with 13 th place finishes

net spend was next to nowt. stop trying to make us sound like city or summit splashing millions left right and centre

but we've hardly spent out in net terms

So because we havent spent much in net terms its acceptable for our sqaud to be rubbish because most of the transfers were funded from sales? Like i say in the last 5 year we've sent nearly 150 million quid
