Guy Martin’s Great British Power Trip

Anyone watching this ? It’s on C4. Interesting look at the methods of energy production and the cost and complexity if each. His analysis of how much it costs to power his workshop for a year illustrates how power prices impact us all

I watched some of it before the Russian corruption programme.

I didn't know that Guy Martin had a new series, and I will now catch it up as I enjoy his infectious enthusiasm and positivity, that he's utterly bonkers and fearless driving any vehicle and he has the knack of making even dry content, like renewal of National Grid pylons, interesting.

He is a national treasure.

He is the closest thing we have to a modern day Fred Dibnah. He comes across a bit daft at times but obviously very clever bloke. Not many jobs that he has tried has he struggled with. Last night he looked perfectly happy doing a linesman job.

He is the 21st century Fred Dibnah ! Loves his engineering, his engines, and a passion for history as well.

I loved one episode when the told about how he did overtime at work to save money to buy a Rolls Royce Merlin engine. We need more like him.
