Not arthritis but Alex Lifeson (Rush) has psoriasis and that causes him problems.

Well, they've wrapped in now so not as big a problem now I imagine!

Yeah, he has some degenerative muscular disorder so is on his last tour. Mind he had a good run, as they say. In the charts at 15 iirc and one of the biggest selling albums ever.

Poor bloke.

I hope he finds another way to express his creative talent.

He does session stuff but you're right he's done exercises for years to keep playing

I was messing about with the bairn’s guitar the other day and I couldn’t even hold the neck properly, let along press on the strings.

eric clapton has very bad pain now and has came out saying it will end his playing days!

Yep, saw him and his band supporting Back in Black ACDC tribute band in Bishop Auckland many years ago.
