Guinea Pigs

Apparently ideal first pets, and my grandson wants one

Anyone know anyone who breeds them in or near Sunderland?

Yes, get all the comments out of the way, but this is genuine

There'll be loads of second hand ones on market place. We managed to give ours away and got a decent price for the hutch

Get in touch with Binky Buns in Ashbrooke. They're a bunny* and guinea pig rescue and they usually have some to re-home.

*Bunnies are class but they're not ideal first pets, so stick with piggies.

I have two and they are class pets. Great with kids, very nice natured, are pretty fun, will play once they have bonded with you or just as happy being petted and cuddling up. Cheap, easy to look after, from my experience don't really get ill.

Can be noisy as out, especially if they get a food routine and you're late.

I've literally just been sent a whats app from a family member who knows of some poor little things that have been dumped by a bin and are looking for a new home.....

Complete pain in the arse chore cleaning them out etc and completely boring. My kids interest lasted for a week. Cat is the way forward.
Can be as timid as fuck and get very stressed when handled
Get out of it what you put in. Sounds like the humans were the problem here.

This is more like it.

They are class like. Couldn't really get a better pet for kids, mines been cuddled to death, flew round the room, pestered and never once bit the lad. He's older now so they don't get tortured much these days but great temperament on them.

I think they are entertaining as out as well, mine are always doing mad shit.
