Doubt anyone will get this without googling
Oster hit bar from free kick. It's possibly the most pathetic effort I've ever seen from a teamWatched it in the Salutation in Fram which has just been closed. Can still see Cahill scoring and Oster (I think, or was it McCartney?) hitting the post
I'd never heard of him. Was just searching for someone random so googled 'Bradford team from 1994' and the 1996/7 team was the first thing that came up. Had a look at the squad list looking for the most obscure name and found him and Andy f***ing O'Brien!I'd heard of him, but would never have got him in a millions years.
I was about 8 then, was gutted. But not as gutted as I was about the Crystal Palace play off fiasco.Oster hit bar from free kick. It's possibly the most pathetic effort I've ever seen from a team

Really? wow that is some impressive knowledge haha. Love random football knowledge me, back in primary school I was the one to come to for shite football factsI think back then (before internet) I played on games like Sensible World of Soccer, early Championship Managers and watched every Endsleigh Football Extra or whatever it was and read loads of newspapers etc. So my grasp of who was playing where in England was quite big, even if I'd never seen them play or wouldn't recognise them. So the name rings a bell now, especially as I recall Oldham having some relative success with Gunnar Halle and signing one or two other Scandanavians as a result of it.
Think Bradford produced a few reasonable players back then. Seemed to sell a few, then bought ok and got the promotions off the back of it. Richards, O'Brien, Hamilton.
The first leg of the play off semi I watched on my dad's mate's sky box. Must have been the first time I watched a game on sky in somebody's houseI was 20ish and still f***ing gutted now man

Yep, another champ man player I rememberedTBF my memory has faded badly with age (and alcohol!). I probably still know more players from back then than I do now though
Ali Bernabia?
If only Reidy/Murray had give him that two year deal.
