Why the hell buy one if you can only wear it indoors, i am proud to support sunderland and like to show my support.
I agree. It's a good conversation starter as well normally in a way as well. People often ask me why I support Sunderland etc.

Even worse than over 40's wearing denim.
Over 40s were obviously born before 1976.
That means many of them encompass the 60s and the rock generation.
Woodstock, The Who, The Stones, Carnaby Street, Summer of Love, and real socialist working class governments.
I am astounded that anyone can think it odd that someone from that era should continue to want to wear jeans as they progress through life.

had one bought by my daughters (absolutely no) for Father's Day and I'm definitely going to wear it with pride.
Ha'way the lads:D

Just got back from Portugal and when popping out for the afternoon wander and pint i sported either of my inter tops and dare I say i even popped my lads shirt on one day....fuck it.

Never been that lucky with the pub before. I was however known in college as the 'Sunderland fan'. Apart from the odd paedophile joke I'm still mates with a few of the people from there because of my Sunderland shirt.

It was a canny day, met a villa fan, also arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Wigan, Blackburn and Man U fans. And a couple of Newcastle ( Aussie Newcastle) fans.

Mutton dressed as lamb. They should wear comfortable beige slacks with an elasticated waist, unless they a members of Status Quo or American.

Well I've justified why it is not unreasonable for over 40s to wear jeans.
Your response is a tongue in cheek reference to elasticated slacks etc.
That means my point prevails in the absence of any valid counter argument.

Up the progressive denim wearing hippies.
