Grown men wearing replica shirts

I have to agree with @Mrjardine on this one. People can of course wear what they wish and they will regardless of what people think, which is great. It's all about opinions. There are some class looking strips about and when I see our new away top, I actually wish I was young again so I could wear the full strip. But to suggest a football kit looks smart on an adult supporter is just wrong. Wearing a three piece suit is smart, wearing a tie with a dimple and non-matching pocket square is smart, brogues are smart. A football top is considered less than casual imo.
Age should not stop you from wearing a footy top, but as you say it's all about opinions.
My wife (no) has worked in fashion/design for over thirty years and thinks brogues are horrid.

Wouldn't wear one to a job interview or a meal out but I don't see the problem with wearing it going shopping or something. I know people who have bought a full kit before, I have a bit of banter with them about it but apart from that I let them get on with it

Im the same mate, but those who do wear them at stupid times make people have that general dislike of them. I can fully understand why some blokes just wouldn't wear them out and about. I don't think it's a snobby thing, just seeing others looking like a clownshoe can turn you right off to doing the same.

Fashions change... brogues were well out 10-20 years ago. Think we've hit peak brogue mind...

Where's the backtrack Janey? I think it's chavvy to wear a replica top going about your everyday business.
Backtrack was you started off saying nobody should wear one, then you said actually it's okay if your at the game, you've demeaned people for wearing them, because you don't. Your entitled to not wear but your high horse if those that chose to is canny high

Working in fashion and understanding fashion are entirely different things though. A Grenson brogue is a thing of beauty.

The 3rd kit is horrendous and the home strip isn't much better. I wouldn't wear one for anything other than football, got better and more comfortable tops for the gym. Doesn't bother me who wears what but it's not for me.

Aye I agree, the opposite end is at college I've seen students wear really expensive suits and one had a cane with him. I think it's looks silly but again I'm not to judge, let people wear what they want

She works and understands fashion mate, four years at uni and then years in design and retail.
Should we say a Grenson brogue is a classic, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and thank fuck we all have different eyes.

For class? Brilliant.

Aye it was well weird. Had one in my class with his hair dyed black, huge ear piercings and a suit jacket over a checked shirt. The guy with the cane wasn't in my class, I'd see him walking to class and everything

This I would like to see just for the giggles like. Monocle and bowler to complete the look would be topper. Chris Eubank style.

A brogue is a timeless classic, no doubt about it. There are so many different styles of brogue that I can't understand why someone would generalise to such an extent to say all brogues are "horrid", least of all someone in fashion. She gets a brownie point for liking cats I suppose.

I'll message some people I know from college I'll see if they can get a picture of one of them. I've seen people dressed like they're from the matrix before as well

 that's a tad over-the top mind. Was said person popular?

Popular with the less successful part of the class and I'm being polite. He almost failed level 1 ict  I got on well with him. He once told me when he didn't know how twitter worked he found child porn account on there. He thought he was doing good by retweeting and following the account because he thought and I quote "if people saw me following it they'd report it with me':lol::lol:
