GROUP 6 Open NOW! Try it, nothing to lose

'You are not currently eligible to book through this service
If you think you should be eligible for the vaccine you can call the helpline on 119.'

I have been hospitalised with asthma in the past (it was a while ago like) so I should be in 6 I believe.

You are undoubtedly in group 6. Ring your doctor. I was missed off the doctors' list in the same situation as yourself. 4 days later I was jabbed - after I rang the doctors and made it clear that my medical record quite clearly conform with group 6 requirements.
Contacted the doctors about this this morning. I've been told my asthma isn't severe enough to be in Group 6. I've told them they aren't following the NHS Guidelines which state if you have had an emergency admission for asthma you should be in 6. There is a couple of stories on BBC and the Independent about GP's changing the rules about this.

My Mam is in Group 9 and she got contacted for her vaccine yesterday 🤷🏻‍♂️

Who told you? A receptionist or a doctor?

The missus just got a call from the local health centre. Vaccination this Wednesday...she's 37 and in perfect health, so a bit of a surprise.

It was the 'Practice Administrator.' Whatever role that is.

I'm still waiting for a reply from Friday. She asked me when I was hospitalized and was going to review it but heard nothing since.

Am in Sunderland. My nearest are Durham and Bishop Auckland? Is that reet?
Just depends where appointments are available. Aslong as you can get there Durham and Bishop isn't too bad. Our lasses dad kept getting offered Knaresborough but eventually got one at the Nightingale in Sunderland.

Might have mixed you up but aren't you in your 70s? Doing alright for yourself old boy
Yep, I'm 74 a 37 year age gap. it's a long story, but bascally I became her carer because she was so mentally ill. It's been challenging to say the least, but we got there. I'm pretty kick arse for my age, so we don't look at all odd.

Knocked back.. due to medication i don’t have an immune system, thought that would put me “ at risk”. Never mind I’ll wait until I’m called in or when my age range is ok to book.
Is your medication prescribed by your GP or your hospital specialist, as if not on your GP prescription it won’t pick you up but if you are on drugs that make you immunocompromised you should have been called by now, might be worth having another word

I've no idea what that is either, but I rang the doctors and the receptionist more or less told me the vaccine wasn't for me even though I suggested she should bring up my medical records, which she did and continued to suggest the vaccine wasn't for me. I said: not good enough, I need to speak to a doctor. Within a few days I'd been vaccinated. I personally wouldn't wait. You can get in touch with your doctor through the surgery's website and they are obligated to get back to you within 48 hours. 'Too much at stake to wait and hope for people to review and get back to you.

I messaged them again after I posted to ask for an update. If I don’t get one tomorrow, I’ll ring 119 and ask them before pursuing with the GP.

I’ve been told by Asthma UK to contact the local Clinical Commissioning Group to refuse because, like you said, I should definitely be on that list.
UPDATE: Rang 119. Basically said, they can't do anything. They just go from GP's advice so get in touch with them. I'll give my Doctors another day to respond.

Good lad !

It’s a poor website for booking like, never seems anything to be any available, get a date, choose it then no time slots are available, it’s as if it’s not linked.
Like fuck am I travelling all over when ones 3 it’s a 2/10 for me.
