If going the grinder route, invest in a burr grinder. It grinds the beans more evenly, promoting better flavour and aroma extraction.

Unless you go through pre-ground quite quickly. I think there’s not much difference if the bag is only open a day or two.

I've moved away from my espresso machine to a normal drip coffee maker. For some reason it seems to taste better for me. And I can make a pot that keeps warm for a few hours. I still grind my own beans tho and my cousin sends me coffee beans from South Africa...

Not at all,not sure how suggesting a place to get coffee would somehow result in harm but nevermind.

As mentioned Coffee Direct are good , however I use Tesco's Finest Guatemalan £3-20 per bag and its spot on !

No faff at all. Pour the beans into the top of the machine, put a cup in place and press the button. Espresso ready in 30 seconds, the only way to start the morning.
