But...but...we're not playing it to his strengths.
What strengths are they?
Aye.
I’m getting annoyed by him as well to be fair. At least Wyke put himself about when he came on. Grigg barely f***ing moved.
In the warm up before the game he scored every shot right and left foot. Corners every time. Everyone else had some gan miles wide or straight at the keeper. Don't think it's confidence, there's just no desire whatsoever. Put the ball down in front of him and he will score. Expect him to get in the end of owt, or make anything movement or anything happen and he's not interested.
Played very well.I thought Wyke played well
Over the top fee and an over the top wage for a player who wasn't interested in coming here. Was obvious he was going into early retirement mode.If he doesn't give a shit about us, then frankly I couldn't give a shit about him
I thought Wyke played well

92 minutes, you're fresh on and Portsmouth are passing it along their back line.
So you're strolling between them with no urgency when we're defending a slender lead.
Your manager has put his neck on the block by defending you, including you and putting you on the pitch.
And the supporters clapped you onto the pitch which, on recent displays, you've barely deserved.
If you don't want to be here just spit it out and we can have you gone in January.
He should have been fresh as a daisy coming on with just a few minutes to go against tired defenders. He needs to put the effort in otherwise it will turn nast for him.... do yourself a favour.

Wyke had a very good game. He put himself about and the defenders knew they were in a game. Grigg needs to watch and learn.Massive difference between him and wyke in how they were chasing lost causes and trying to put pressure on portsmouths back line, he was only on the pitch for 10 minutes....really starting to get disappointed with him as effort should be the bare minimum you can give form or no form.
Trillion % your bottom post marraHe should have been fresh as a daisy coming on with just a few minutes to go against tired defenders. He needs to put the effort in otherwise it will turn nast for him.

He actually looked as though he wanted to comtribute and play a part in the game, unlike Gutless Grigg.
iirc when charlie wyke first came he didn't exactly enamour himself to the fans. since he's started to put a bit of effort in he's even getting a cheer when he comes on now. there's nothing that gets me wound up more than someone who doesn't appear to give a shit. i think wyke has been really good recently and the back end of last season, perhaps he's just one of those confidence players and i hope grigg will prove to be the same.Charlie Wyke was everything Grigg wasn't today.
