Greatest foreign song, sang in a non-English language?

Doesn't say it has to be a well known songs, so this is my favourite German song. Well known artist there, with a tribute to his home town, downtrodden former DDR Rostock

Ca plane pour moi - Gibberish
The English version was interesting. Released at the same time and wasn't a hit, thankfully, but has made its way into folklore with The Damned covering it (With vocals by Sensible) at many of their gigs, over the last 20 years or so. The English version was released in tandem and used exactly the same "backing track" as Bertrand's version.

As an aside, Bertrand didn't sing on the original version or any of the tracks on the first album, though sang on subsequent albums.

Brilliant. This shall be the song when I go for the final hibernation.

Great minds and all that..... when I saw thread my immediate thought was Sunshine on Leith!

I am very much enjoying this lasses stuff at present.
Our lasses dad's funeral song, gets me every time it comes on
