Greatest film villain of all time

Haven’t read all the way through but I hope Andrew Robinson has been mentioned.
Dirty Harry
Edward G’s son!
One of the greatest performances of all time in my opinion.

Just been reading an Empire article with a countdown of all time film villain greats. It's a bit heavy on recent films to my mind.
Top 5:
1. Darth Vader
2. The Joker
3. Loki (Loki??)
4. Hans Gruber
5. Hannibal Lecter
The Greatest Villains Of All Time

For me - Bruno Antony, Strangers on a Train and The Rev Harry Powell in Night of the Hunter. Female villain - Nurse Ratched, of course.

Any others?

Cruella DeVille

Dirty Harry was a good guy

Row, row, row your boat... come on, SING! Or I'll kill all your mothers.

to be fair, that scene in Dirty Harry had been lifted straight out of The Wild Bunch that was made several years earlier ;)

The Scorpio character in the bus in Dirty Harry gets them to sing in almost identical way that the Clarence 'Crazy' Lee character (played by Bo Hopkins) did inside the bank in opening sequence of The Wild Bunch

Both great films though
