I like the fact it was pummelled by totally ancient weapons. Then torpedoed by 50 year old torpedos. And the bloke that fired them had been retired for 13 years. Great read!
 
Use this thread to paste wiki pages which are a great read - give people some good reading material for their next long dump / broaden people's general knowledge

Class that, the mad bastard. Started the attack on the German soldiers by taking out the commander with a barbed arrow from his long-bow. :) Love reading stuff like that.

Will read later. Program about other diversionary tactis on PBS America, the other night, about the Ghost Army - tasked with fooling German recon./spotter planes into thinking there were loads of enemy artillery/tank/aircraft amassing nearby.
