Great things about Great Britain

I struggle with the turnip outrage. Tomatoes with your Yorkshire puds. Always silly season nowadays

Sunday Dinners.
A summer afternoon with loads of mates in the beer garden.
Dog walks on Dartmoor.
Lindisfarne.
Durham Cathedral.
The Changing of the Guard.
Accents
Buck House.
Joe Root.

This could go on forever........

Our History.

OK so it's not all great. But pulling into Durham Station, looking at the Cathedral and realising how long it's been there blows my mind.

Barnard Castle is a ruin... but it's a ruin that predates the vast majority of things in America.

Steam Railways. An invention that changed the world. Now run by volunteers as a recognition of our industrial past.

OK so it's the past. But these things are still here today and in the present. Not a lot of countries can boast that. Ffs there's a place in America that boasts the "world's biggest egg"
BBC has to be right up there. I know some people twist about the fee but I bet it’s the best known in the world. Or maybe Fox, but for the wrong reasons.

Sadly I think the BBC is in terminal decline. It was a great respected institution but its struggling to compete on a lot of fronts now.
