Clem Burke out mooned him a long time ago.

Rat Scabies.

I would say CB was a bit more disciplumed in both his drumming and his life. Still a good shout like.

I also liked Mark Brzezicki when he was with The Cult - loads of subtle little fills that often were barely noticeable.

And I like Zakk Starkey playing with The Who too.

Tre Cool - great versatile drummer, like their music or not ;)

Alan Wren - Stone Roses

Had a think about who I like. Those two came to mind from relatively recent years.

Agree on all that. Burke is a fitness fanatic who really looks after himself. Moon..er...

Zak Starkey's a good shout anarl,in a Mooney kind of way. Who'd have thought Ringo had the DNA in him.

Aye my mate is a drummer and also a Who fanatic who has seen them well over 50 times. Of all the drummers they've had in since Moon he rates Zakk higher than the lot by a wide margin. I've seen them a few times with him and nnot only is he very good makes it all look sort of effortless too.

Keith Moon and Cozy Powell were canny - not so good now. Neil Peart from Rush and Roger Taylor from Queen can play a bit.

A bit?!! You say Roger Taylor, as in the legendary rock group from the 70's and 80's who were massive until upstarts like the ones of today like Arctic "Couldn't Give A" Monkeys and Super Furry Whatsit, can only play a bit? It is like saying Kaka can play football "a bit"!

Roger Taylor is a living legend compared to the modern day current rock groups like the ones I mentioned.

For me he showed as much passion in his drumming as May did in playing the guitar or Freddie did with his singing.

Bill Ward...great drummer and gave Sabbath a bit of swing.

Nigel Preston from The Cult. Listen to Live at the Lyceum.

Ian Paice

Alan White from Yes

Charlie Watts

How can you say that!! You are no respector of older groups or of anyones passions and interests, are you! You know that for sure? Or is it your so stuck in the here and now your lack of respect and willingness to accept and acknowlewdge the contribution and success the rock groups from the past made, or even the fact it is me who likes Queen that there is more of a reason for you to hate Queen

The band has released a total of 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles and 10 number one DVDs, and have sold over 150 million albums, with some estimates in excess of 300 million albums, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. They have been honoured with seven Ivor Novello awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

Care to research how many millions of Queen fans there are in the world? Thiught not. Would prove you wrong.

Yeah, they were shite alright. Do us all a favour? Only talk about stuff you actually care about and don't knock what you don't understand or care about if you don't want to look like a piece of meaningless laughable shite with a meaningless laughable life.

And what about these Artic Monkeys and Super Furry Something-or-others?

They look like they fell down from the ugly tree and hit every branch down and the idea of a decent wardrobe is a concept lost on them. And the last time I heard music like that the TV was on the blink. And as for their fans.....least I know where the inspiration for The Waking Dead come from.

What a pile of incomprehensible crap the modern groups are!

Seen loads in all the years of going to see rock bands! Best drummer for me has to be the late great Cozy Powell. Vinnie Appice comes a close second. Bobby Rondinelli, was good to watch. Saw him put a drum stick into the back rows of the balcony at the City Hall by clashing it off his High Hats.
Tommy Lee was good to watch

And of the younger generation had he lived, Mike Lee and good mate of mine who died recently!! Would have gone down as one of the great alonside Powell and Bonham !
