That's fair enough , but it'd be a boring world if we were all the same .
I just like this forum.

I live down south and know Arsenal,Chelsea, Spuds, Man u, Liverpol etc etc fans but i wouldn't check their forums. I'm not digging you out on it, and to be honest ive seen you post and don't mind you (Unless you slag Sunderland off) It's more a generalisation. I just don't get it myself. Like the avatar BTW. Just wish the ref had started singing 'The end' after about 20 minutes yesterday!

You seem a canny lad/poster on here. gutted ay yesterdays result but nowhere near as bad as i thought i would be losing like that. Doesn't compare to the 5 1 Mags defeat. Mind even a 1 0 defeat to them is a million miles worse. I'm more gutted fr the fans who travelled.

Totally agree with you. Any result losing against your rivals is worse than any thrashing.
It will soon get out of the system.

By my criteria, yes Sunderland are bigger. But by my criteria that makes you a similar size club to Newcastle....

Now my point is - "new" football fans (which now counts for a lot) think football started with the premier league. These fans would rightly or wrongly think Newcastle are a much bigger club than Sunderland, and in turn think Sunderland and Middlesbrough are of a similar size.

I don't give a shit what they think, because they are wrong.

hahahaha, wind your neck in you daft **** and get your facts right, even if I did would you expect much different from a Boro fan?
No history, agreed. History books will still show we won a trophy in recent times no matter how mickey mouse. It will show we have had some of the WORLDS best players pull on our shirt (for all the f***ing good it did!) and it will show our amazing fete in Europe which I don't think you will see your team do in your lifetime kidda

You sound bitter

As an outsider looking in. That's game, set, match boro right there.

To be honest i have absolutely nothing against your club.
I know Boro don't have a true "rival" but that really HONESTLY doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I only "slag Sunlun off" if i'm defending Boro.
Re yesterday : i haven't seen any of it , but i wouldn't worry too much .
Poyet done a grand job in keeping you up last season (as i predicted he would) , and i certainly think he's the man to take you forward - it just takes time.

A lot of Boro fans (yes we do have some :)) kept wingeing about Karanka not knowing what he was doing etc... , but he's slowly getting things moving in the right direction for us.

Well unless Sunderland suddenly become a top six club as time goes on this view will become the predominant one. If it isn't already.

What will ? That the size of a club is judged on what they've done over the last few years ?

Utter rubbish.

You haven't had your Christmas slump yet

Sign....your missing my point - this is what a lot of current football fans think.

Lets not kid ourselves here - Sunderland have won one major trophy in around the last 70 years? No one gives a fuck what happened in the 1930s these days.

To be totally honest, I would hate to be Sunderland at the moment every year they are shit and just miss relegation. A promotion campaign in the championship might do you all some good.

That wasn't the only criteria I was looking at though was it ?

Anyone who thinks Boro are as big a club as Sunderland is a cretin.

Your club is hardly trophy laden neither

Would they fuck. New football fans can see you struggle to get 14k for home games whereas we get 40 plus season after season. This is what is happening now.
