16,000 at their last home game. I feel sorry for Steve Gibson. All the time, effort, and cash he's put into that club and that's how the 'fans' repay him.

2-1 against Brighton, always a tough trek but we do well there. Good job though cos I couldn't imagine travelling all that way to the south coast and getting humped, could you? Would be a f***ing nightmare!

Sorry lads, but you know you're going to get it from all angles, even tin pot clubs like Boro who you don't care about cos we're shit and have a shit set of fans, I'll say it for you!

Just chalk it off as 'one of them' lads (& lasses) it won't happen every week, we've had out share of them, usually against Arsenal who always seem to score for fun against us, brush yourselves own & go again and all that shite......

Who?

shit home support, best away support in the land!

Are you Chubby Brown?

Work with Boro fans and to be honest I'm not expecting any bother at all. Only 1 of them attends the matches, the rest don't really talk about football

They're playing well the Smogs like! Quite like the look of Kike up front. If Karanka manages to get you promoted hes done a fantastic job.

I've seen sunderland get less in the first division/Championship. Mick Buxton mid 90s anyone? All clubs go through low periods, this has been ours.

The reality is rightly or wrongly Sunderland are looked on by the rest of the country as a similar sized club to us, Bolton, Birmingham, Wigan.

Related to a few boro fans, he always said your away support was better.. I spent the next three hours looking it up.
we smashed yous almost at every away.
For the record, the mags are exactly the same.
What did you look up James? - was it the relative away followings of all three clubs? What were the results? I'd assume it was quantity, i.e. Numbers and not quality of support etc.

It's impossible to answer in truth as all three would need to be in the same league. Loads of other factors like time of year played etc.

FWIW I have no problems with Boro. Enjoy the games and a proper atmosphere etc. would have killed for that league cup win and could only dream of playing in Europe let alone playing in a European final. Remember when Ayresome Park was locked and they had to play at Hartlepool to fulfill their fixtures or be booted out of the league? They done well to survive to be honest.

Yeah those were bad times - luckily we have a local chairman who saved us and has our clubs best interests at heart. Not some American guy who if truth be told doesn't give a fuck and will probably sell up if he got a decent offer......oh wait....

I've worked in Boro for 4 year now and I've said this plenty times but walking round the town centre, you would never guess the town had a football team. They have even closed down the club shop in the town centre it was always empty like their ground every home game.

Gibson deserves better, very few people in the town care about the football club. They jumped on the bandwagon for a few year but have quickly fucked off again.

Least short hasnt had a go at our fans for not turning up at games

He was only telling the truth. Loads of Sunderland fans in Stockton/Billingham/Sedgefield areas.

If there's anyone who knows anything about British football who thinks that Boro is a similar size club to Sunderland then I'll be f***ing dumbstruck.
