We were the better team for 50 mins. Taking only striker off for midfielder is cowardice - hoping to win

Mmmmmmm can't really say as I'm sure he didn't tell the players to sit back and let Portsmouth control the gsme.
However his subs left me scratching my head but he is the manager and he probably sees things differently from the touchline than me.
So maybe he made a mistake but calling the bloke a coward is not really on.

I think he is a very decent man. But he is a coward of a football manager / when we get ahead he hopes to hang on - no better strategy than that

I think what baffled me more was subbing Leadbitter and not Cattermole, Leadbitter is a class penalty taker.

It would also have been worth keeping Grigg on just in case it went to pens.

I agreed with him taking Grigg off. We were being overrun in midfield and Grigg was offering nowt and had no service.
Don’t forget he brought Wyke on who did very well to set up the second goal.
