Grayson update....

I agree but I also think he might have been shocked at the extent of the problem. I don't think he's the type to suffer fools gladly and I'm sure he'd love to just boot the shirkers and the charlatans out right now but he can't; he's had to play them to keep them in the shop window as saleable assets. I just hope that Short has promised him (for what that's worth) a significant chunk of the proceeds from sales to invest in new players; the hungry and committed ones he says he wants. It will probably be a long and frustrating haul out of the championship but, until Short sells and we get an owner that understands football or at least appoints a CEO who does, I don't think we can hope for anything else.

it's a shitshow : Lens Kone Khazri take up a massive chunk of our player wage budget but don't want to be here a day longer than they have to be and are simply using our facilities to get fit : expect no crunching tackles from these three rentboys

I rate Oviedo tbh, think he will be one of the best LB's in the league. I dont actually remember Khazri every coming out and saying he wants to leave? Though I havent really been keeping track of news this pre season, must of missed that - shame because every side needs a bit of quality if they are to challenge and he would of been ours.

I would be doing everything in my power to keep hold of Khazri and Lens if at all possible, if not then I hope that money is reinvested in a couple of CB's, a striker and a central midfielder.

I'm sure I saw that about Khazri just after Moyes left but I may be wrong. I'm not sure how some of the players will react if they are still here after the window shuts in all honesty. My only worry is if we do sell them it seems they will not be replaced adequately as Short will not release much of the funds, it's a bit of a shit situation really

It's ok for him to keep saying he wants players who want to play for the club... he needs to bring in good players not shite

I want to play for the club but it doesn't men I'm any good

I'm f***ing mustard by the way

Hmmm not sure Grayson will be aware of this like

"There are players who will leave in the next few days and weeks while the window is still open and new ones will come in,” Grayson said.

”The ones we bring in are going to have to be the right types, with hunger and desire.

"I've said to the players that if anyone doesn't want to be at the football club my door is open and I'll drive you to wherever you want to go to.

"I want players who want to play for this football club.”

Haway the Grayson!

What happens when the players off go the last day of the window and that classic "we tried but ran out of time" gets peddled out?

Hoping that won't be the case, but we all know what's in the bag of tricks.

It's my fear aswell. Or we end up panicking and signing one or two, whose best days are behind them, on 4 year deals for silly money. We have form! This club is so badly run,it could happen.

If we keep the rotten fkrs, we'll be bottom of the league. If we sell the rotten fuckers, we'll be bottom of the league and a dozen million quid better off.

Pick one.

I'd like to think reason will prevail and the money raised from selling those you mention will be reinvested in players with a modicum of ability.

It's the Sunderland way, waiting until the last minute then paying over the odds for someone.

I like Grayson to be fair and think he's the kind of character we need, it's the signings That are a concern.
