absolutely , a poster on here the other day said he would be happy with "triers" , rather than actual technically good players ?
Am sorry but "triers " won't get that stadium full, its a difficult balancing act , McGeady for example who I don't rate or like , you would class as a "player" but the way he strolled about totally disinterested at times v celtic sickens me ( Good player past their prime just don't put enough effort in ) but getting kids that have promise is a gamble ) , having said all that , I will be at the match on friday and I am hoping we don't have to watch the likes of Jones "trying".
mcgeady was rolling his eyes at the new full back, who probably fits in the 'trying hard and wants to be here ' category

grayson has a massive task to turn the team into anything other than a sh*tshow

If we're bottom by xmas but have gotten rid of the rotten core I'll be happy.

It's time to start thinking long-term for a change.
So currently our parachute payments are at their peak and we have recouped close to 40 million with an outlay of under 2 million, what exactly do you think the long term strategy looks like for us when the money is only going down and theres nobody left to sell?

Not interested in talk, lets see some action, just get on with it, we don't need to be told every few days.
Don't listen to the talk then. The bloke has agreed to do an interview, been asked a question and answered it.

"There are players who will leave in the next few days and weeks while the window is still open and new ones will come in,” Grayson said.

”The ones we bring in are going to have to be the right types, with hunger and desire.

"I've said to the players that if anyone doesn't want to be at the football club my door is open and I'll drive you to wherever you want to go to.

"I want players who want to play for this football club.”

Haway the Grayson!

This could also be interpreted as Grayson getting his excuses in early as he realises the depth of the problem here and also that his usual motivational methods aren't going to work on a fair chunk of our multi millionaire early retirees .

This could be a rough old season. Grayson is a lower league manager who's never had to deal with kind of shite before

Short doesn't do long term thinking, marra. That's been blindingly obvious since day 1. We hope the rotten core will be gone by end August or we're stuck with them. Bain's got to make sure that doesn't happen! Assuming they are gone by then, and half decent replacements brought in, if we're bottom at Xmas Grayson will be gone.

I'll tell you what'll please the people that frequent this board, the absence of a team that doesn't show them up every step of the way, a club that doesn't take the piss season after season, players that give a fuck, oh! and the odd win every month or so and people like you that have go at people because they've put up with f***ing shite for years.

What's gonna be the strategy if we keep Kone/Khazri and get relegated to league 1 because neither of them give more than 50% effort?

We need rid of them asap, regardless of where we are in the league.

Get rid if you can replace them with equal or better quality but to get rid and bring in worse is ridiculous given how weak we are.

Of all these players who dont want to be here lets not forget about loan players who dont give 2 fucks either.

Honestly though he's said this same thing consistently for weeks.

We've also heard Khazri's name mentioned more than once.

So we know about Lens and Kone, but Khazri seems to get an easy ride on here because "it's Moyes's fault".
Khazri, unlike Lens or Kone, does seem to work hard when he's playing. I think that helps him get an easier ride.
