Bet spend you are right as we have debt that needs paying off. We will be in the top 1/3 of monies spent. That is automatic and play-offs for the league. That's competitive in my eyes

The proof will be in the pudding ;)

It's a high risk strategy again if that is the case. Season starts Friday and it's dangerous to gamble on player sales and the recouping of decent fees this late in the piece. Clubs will be aware we need to sell so will play hard ball over fees and selling clubs will be aware that we need to buy so will do similar.

And that, in a nutshell, is more or less how we have conducted our transfer business for years. Last ditch, panic stricken and disastrous for the coffers.

The longer we're in this league the less he'll get

Agreed but this season he has reduced our debt by £30m plus a fair proportion of the parachute payment as redundancies will have been made and wage cuts of staff including playing staff to inline our operating P&L

What is more high risk is spending money before you have it!!

get what you're saying - but as I said to the other lad - Short (surely) has to balance his desire to reduce his liability whilst retaining an asset which has some on the field value - and whilst I think Grayson is doing ok he's not a miracle worker.

You would think so. You would also think so as the asset doesn't depreciate further there would be some kind of ambition to get back into the PL. Whether he's turned his back or there's some kind of long term strategy which I can't for the life of me guess just what it is, I'm not sure. It looks very much like the former.

Again, I'm not disputing that. But based on that you can't tell supporters that we have a competitive budget. At present, we seemingly don't have a budget so it's misleading to say otherwise.

No your right let's tell the media that if we don't sell the players that don't want to be at the football club for a decent fee we will spend money regardless

You're a supporter Short loves.....He can do anything and you will always remain up-beat.
Told you before I'm not happy. What part of that do you not understand? Unlike you, I don't blame Grayson for the position we find ourselves in. The season hasn't started yet! How many times do I have to repeat it man.

I'm not seething either

If all these people who think you're a thundercunt were indeed seething then we'd have a riot on our hands

Cue comment about being angry, a 'x', referring to me as sweetie/Hun/etc or a variety of smilies.

Seek help you f***ing freak

Seething!

Am i supposed to be bothered what people think of me?
