TBH id forgotten what its like for us to win and skunks to lose on same day. Having said that Im pretty grounded, very early days but savour days like today.

Hopefully this is just the beginning

But am a bit long in tooth to think it is

Would love vaughan to get off mark and build more confidence in team

Compared to this board........"Happy Clapper Central"

"It's a great win and it has been a strong-ish start for us - but that's all it is, a good start, and no-one is getting carried away.

"What has happened here is in the past - it's all about what happens in the future now and what I will say is that I have got a good, hard-working group here - it's a working class city and that's what the people demand."

It's better than saying 'we are in a relegation battle' after 2 games. The whole point of your post was to have a dig at the fans and Grayson. Moyes got slated by us for being negative and now you're trying to make out that we have double standards because Grayson has come out with a comment to play down our good start.

No one is getting carried away. We are happy we won!

I disagree. Has a very good squad for this level. Has done well, got the points, created a good atmosphere, but we have a strong squad for the Championship.

I hope he'll manage to keep the mood up and get the points needed in the next 44 games.
Think its looking strong but in no small part to his signings and the regular playing of Honeyman(which i was unsure about initially but thats why hes in charge and im on me keyboard!)....Compared to what some have spent it could easily have gone the otherway had he bought unwisely and not created the spirit which is evident.Early days i know but our start is on paper very tough -we will know a lot more by next Sat night-i for one cannot wait for the next game....

Stop being a nob.

No different to Moyes's comments. Managing expectations.
The delivery of the message is completely different to be fair. Im more than happy Grayson is trying to manage expectations but there is a distinct lack of negativity in the way he delivers his message compared to the way Moyes delivered it.

One had a significantly more difficult job than the other does. It's easy to be positive when you've got some points on the board. My point is that I hope people aren't just assuming one is the better manager because we've got 4 points in a lower league against weaker opposition.

Did he, Grayson came in when we were probably at our lowest ebb for years, his appointment wasn't universally well received, Moyes pretty much was.
Grayson has barely spent £2m, Moyes spent £30m.
I'm not comparing leagues or points gained or who is the better manager, but I think Grayson's job was/is equally as difficult as Moyes.

It's early days but it looks promising. The weird thing is that we've always been better with a bit of positive play. The good spells we had under MON, Poyet, Dick and BSA mostly came when we had to win games. Admittedly Dick went super attacking and didn't get the balance right and MON tried to force a 442 that didn't have the personnel to make it work but generally high pressing, committed football works best for us because without it any lack of quality is more severely exposed. Our support, whilst craving some creativity, love someone that busts a gut for the side and having the crowd behind them has transformed a few players like Nosworthy. Our young lads will hopefully get that support now- it's already looking like doing Honeyman the world of good.
A few performances like that in the next few weeks and the mindset of the team will be radically different. Hers hoping they can keep it up.
