Grayson apologists

It’s not. Obviously it’s too soon for any sound judgment but so far I’m not seeing much other than new manager bounce. Grayson won at Norwich early days too.

Coleman has had them much more solid as a unit. Working with someone else's team and with no free swings like pre-season games.
Even when Grayson won at Norwich we weren't solid as a unit.

And my OP acknowledged that it was early days incidentally.

Warnock had to clear up Grayson's mess at Leeds and he took the flack, while Grayson is hailed as a hero there.

You ain't gonna extract Grayson's poison overnight.

Eh? Grayson got us promoted playing some of the best attacking football we'd had in years. It only started to unravel for him once Bates started selling players under his nose and didn't replace them with quality.

You lot didn't have a proper pre season (something so important in this slog of a league) or anything like a transfer budget. And you wonder why you're shite?

No I got the point. I’m just intrigued at what level of performance is deemed acceptable to boo or not

It's not acceptable if players don't put a shift in. They did on Saturday.

Look mate if you wish to boo then do it. Clearly the thread from Saturday suggests more agree with me but you're absolutely entitled to your opinion.

I’ve never booed anyone in 38 years of attending however everyone is entitled to do so if they wish.
More agree with you than who? Your own ego perhaps

This poster @Clive has already been outed as someone who has an agenda against Grayson dating back to his time with Leeds.

Grayson was a fantastic manager for Leeds who built a strong team on a shoestring budget.

As you said Bates selling Howson, Gradel, Johnson, Kilkenny etc to fund the East Stand stopped Grayson getting Leeds promoted.

Warnock is a top manager as his work with Cardiff and Rotherham since leaving Leeds proves.

But the situation he inherited at Leeds was a Bates/Harvey/Williams (listening in the toilet), Redfearn/GFH etc problem, not a Grayson problem as Warnock himself has stated many times since.

Grayson is easily the worst manager in my lifetime.
It’s all well and good just hoofing the ball and scoring some goals but if every single time the opposition has the ball it seems like they are going to score means the team is not set up correctly.
I don’t think 5 at the back works for us but it generally makes us harder to beat and helps O’Shea and Gibson in particular.
The quicker we can play 4-3-3 with a deep holding midfielder the better. That means OShea needs dropping as he’s not mobile enough.
But all of this should have been sorted in the summer.
I have full faith in Coleman setting up the team correctly most of the time and I think he knows what is needed to get a team that works. It’s pretty simple to build a team but we haven’t even tried to do it for years!

I think you missed the point of the other thread. The players didn't deserve it the other day.

Its subjective though isn't it. The other day we were playing the worst team in the league at home. For a decent chunk of that game the worst team in the league had ten men. The manager also seemed to make some terrible substitutions, most people felt that performance was as bad as many of Grayson's for example. I think booing is rarely warranted but IF yesterday was deemed worthy of booing then so was the week before at home against a very poor side.

Yes its subjective. Birmingham wasn't worthy of booing because they put a shift in and did their best.
I wasn't at Sheffield so can't really comment. But if what I hear from people I know who were there is correct, then they certainly didn't put a shift in yesterday.

Players shouldn't be booed for not being good enough. They deserve anything coming if they don't put the effort in though.

Yep. The players we have are not good enough unless they are all playing at 100%. By good enough I mean to stay up. I.e. we have no margin for error at all. Grayson was crap but the blame for this season lies at the top. You get what you pay for (well apart from Rodwell). We have assembled a team of shite for feck all. People where saying it was great business before the season started.

I haven't been outed as anything. I've always admitted to being a Leeds fan who's hated Grayson for years because he did a terrible job despite how people spin things to make him look good.
