Graham refused to play

Saying he should be sacked

35 year old with Premier League goals on his CV can’t get a game ahead of Charlie f***ing Wyke in League One. I’d refuse to play for the U23’s in his position too.

1 goal in 47 games for SAFC, that went in off his arse because he couldn't get out of the way. His main contribution this season has been to miss sitters which cost us the game against Charlton and clear a cross off the line back onto the bar.

He's a fat, old mess, a pissed up embarrassment of a professional, and shouldn't be anywhere near getting on the pitch.

There were many that voiced concerns about signing Graham, it is now very obvious they were correct.

I just don't understand, and never did, why in a world full of out of contract strikers desperate for work, Parkinson decided that the best he could do was someone who had been such an abject failure for four years at the very same club.

It's like Norwich re-signing icky van Wolfswinkel. No other club would be that stupid.

Fuck knows what he was looking at in strikers when he decided to come back with O'Brien and Graham.

Parkinson wanted Graham to play for the 23s today to get some minutes in but Graham refused. What chance do the young lads have if this is his mindset? lads like Diamond, Curry and Hawkes will never get a sniff under him. I honestly think hed only name 3 subs if it came down to having to pick 23s players
If this is true... you have to wonder if the players know he's a dead man walking

why even post something like this without being able to qualify it, A huge slur on a footballer and his professional standing if untrue.

so your OP was bollocks then ?
It wasn't the point he was trying to make, I believe. It was more about using the U23s to keep the senior squad sharp. Was the big drawback of the much-vaunted B team plan from the summer as far as I was concerned. A manager who has a bit of a senior pro fetish and a senior squad that is at least 4 players too big. It's a recipe for even less opportunity for young players at SAFC.

O’Brien was a terrible signing .

we might as well have a box of lily O’brien chocolates and
Laid it on the wing .

At least you could have a snack for a sugar rush during the-match .

he either was asked or told by PP to play, the OP suggests he was told and he refused, this is the point of the OP

Happens regularly at clubs with 23s, senior players get asked to play and wont. Good source. Graham was fuming he didn’t start for the first team on the weekend suspect hes getting sick of parkinson as well
That makes him, me and everyone else on the same page then: Why the fuck did we sign him if he wasn't going to be first choice? We already had 2 strikers who are barely good enough to be cover for a first choice. Then he brought OB and Graham in, who seem to be 2nd and 3rd choice at best.

It was clumsy but it wasn't strictly how I read it. He clarified later in the thread

Edit: Having re-read the OP it isn't even all that clumsy. This is about the hair trigger we've all got for Danny Graham as much as anything else
