But as a package, Sunderland has more potential than Stoke.

Maybe, you have some good players and more Prem experience.

I'd like to see Stoke go down to be honest, not because I dislike them, it's just because I dislike their style of play and whenever we play them we get dragged down to their level and it makes for two of the most boring games in the season - and they're always on a f***ing night.

This is what I don't understand about Sunderland fans. They talk of Stoke's style of play all the time, but you are no Barcelona. It's certainly true that SAFC vs Stoke is always worthy of last place on MOTD. Last season at the SOL was one of THE most boring games I've ever watched.

if you check back over the last 100 years plus, very rarely have stoke competed at a level, similar to safc.

look at the respective trophy wins at all levels of the years.

stoke one league cup and 12 staffordshire cup win

safc 6 top division wins, 2 fa cups, umpteen second division wins and one third division win

there it is shown again, what you chose to ignore. mentioned before any talk of crowds, though just out of interest, could you tell me, when was the last time stoke had a crowd of 30000 + watching them in a home game?

Try and be a bit more spontaneous mate, mix it up a bit, lasses love a change! ;)

What the fuck would Stoke do with Bent anyway? Does he have a long throw in?

FFS he could play for a throw in on either flank, easy as ABC, everthing stoke do revolves around playing for a throw in/setplay after a while watching you become immune to it.

Yeah that was awful, couldn't feel my feet at the end.

Nah we're no Barcelona but we play some good stuff most of the time. Except when Stoke, Blackburn and Bolton come to town, and then it's a 'right, get ready for hoofball' time.

:lol::lol::lol:

TWICE I HAVE MENTIONED THE WINNING OF TROPHIES, WHICH YOU HAVE IGNORED AND CHOSE TO MENTION ATTENDANCES

stoke will return to their natural level of second class. bar about ten seasons in the history of your club, that has been the way.

Your still upset about Stoke beating us in the 1991 Isle of Man Invitation Trophy Final. One of the biggest games in Stokes long and illustrious history.

is that because you support a club with very little history?

You make yourself look dumber with every post. If you think Stoke City have no history you are clearly uneducated in footballing matters.

Maybe they would put Bent in midfield and have him run around kicking players who are better than him. Once he gets the ball, he can drift to the wing and try to win a throw in.

You dont go to home matches then?

Oh fuck yeah, sorry I forgot that you winning the FA Cup twice 40 ish years ago means your current team is always going to outperform Stoke and we'll be relegated because of it  .

Get a grip "marra" .

you are extremely hard work. i will make it even more straightforward for you.

in an earlier post, you compared safc and stoke are for the foreseeable future, locked together in a battle for mid table mediocrity

i then showed you, that is very rare for safc and stoke to be competing at a comparable level, as the history of your club, is miniscule in comparison to safcs

i gave reading as an example of a similar in stature club as stoke, who after a season or 2 in the premier, started talk of extending the stadium etc etc, change of style of play and so on, which no doubt has been mentioned down stoke way

they are now mid table in the championship, a position stoke have been for the vast majority of their existance

even two relegations of pathetic point totals for safc have been followed by finishing either 1st or at worst 3rd in the championship.

i ask again, list stokes achievements in their history and when was the last time stoke had a 30000 plus home crowd?
