More iDiocy.

Phones aren't made, sold or bought for the express purpose of assisting the use of illegal narcotics. Except perhaps in your house.

Jailbreaking, done for the express purpose of defeating mechanisms which protect copyrighted works, is criminalised under the DMCA, along with the tools that do it, and the distribution of those tools.

Hope that helps, Ironside.

thats not getting tiresome at all mate

up to page 3 and boris is absolutely running rings around garvey so far

1 - 0 to the iphone so far

Is it a competition like? Very competitive a lot of iPhone users - do they feel inferior with its obvious inadequacies ?

If by running rings round someone, you mean failing to take account of any of the many reviews I provided, slagging off a phone without knowing anything about it and saying that I should opt for iPhone 5 when he didn't know when it was out or what spec it will have, then yes you are 100% correct like :lol:

Anyway, me and Boris have declared a (tentative) truce :)

Another rabid iPhone user I guess, or are you and Boris one and the same ;)

Note to self - never ever start a phone thread of any sort ever again as the trolling starts the minute you do......

Just say 'Nokia 5800' at him and the stark truth makes him pale into insignificance

He's not me like.

And when I left this it was on the clear understanding that all versions of the iPhone are better than all Xperia phones so it follows that the iPhone will be better again (which it will) but that's not to say that your new phone won't be nice, just not as nice as mine.

And HBT has a Nokia 5800 so he and his opinions are irrelevant.

On another note, Orange are offering the San Francisco phone (don't get excited HBT ;)) for £79.95 including £10 top up, which is a cracking price for anyone wanting to give Android a go (runs up to version 2.3).

Why did Congress stipulate 6 SPECIFIC circumstances under which you can legally jailbreak (under the DMCA) if it's GENERALLY true that you can legally jailbreak (under the DMCA), or if the reason for jalbreaking doesn't matter?

Can you provide a link to a conversation on here, where jailbreaking is discussed for one of those six purposes?

Why do you think that Symbian signing is a copy protection thing?

Routergate all over again.

Is "jailbreaking" illegal, yes or no?

With regards to symbian, for people who wanted to pirate software they needed to hack their phones, yes or no?

Don't try and twist everything

I'm assuming you're talking about equivalent generations? Or do you actually mean that an original iPhone 3 would beat the new xperias (in which case you have a screw loose)?

I own a 3GS and for me to contemplate a 6(which I'm assuming would possibly be the next one for me when my upgrade is due), it would have to be the market leader in photos, email, video, call reception (you know, rather than Steve Jobs telling you to hold it differently ;)) to justify the extra cost for the handset, which is what I fundamentally disagree with in the first place - made in China, made of plastic, quality control that's nee better than any of the other brands.

However, I severely doubt that iPhone will ever be market leader in all of those things or even close, but I'll wait with baited breath ;)

iphones are made of glass marra

I'm assuming that's from iPhone 4 though from what I can read.
Not really a fair response to my point then really is it since Apple charged a f***ing mint for 3G and 3GS as well for a unit on a contract ;)

Alumin(i - we live in UK, let's use our spellings please ;) )um - hmmmm - stainless steel from what I can read up on. Glass is aluminosillicate though which is what you are possibly getting at.

You can get the mini pro version for £65

I thought you had one

Back of a 3GS is plastic by all accounts, as is the 3G - I suggest you do some reading on it ;)

 I've got the xperia x10 and i love it still, class phone.

To save you the hassle of reading through the thread mate, we've had 3 or 4 iPhone people (the usual suspects - or possibly the same person, who knows?) trolling mercilessly as they tend to do as they've got nowt better to dee apart from say "Look at me, look at me, look at my iPhone"

As you can see by the reply to your post, whether a phone is shit or not relies entirely on its cost and they have demonstrated this at several points in the thread. Reviews have been provided and ignored, suggestions have been made that I wait for an iPhone 5 despite nee release date or spec sheet being available, phones have been slated despite people knowing nowt about them.

It's what you can call your average iPhone/non iPhone thread

So you were making it up that you have one........shameful

If you haven't used other (better) phones then you will indeed think the x10 is class, on paper it should have been. It is better than a lot of phones, like daft Nokia 5800's, but not as good as others.

As long as your happy tho, job's a good'un!
