The strong rumours are of the iPhone5 in time for xmas, but that doesn't fit Apples usual release pattern.

As for Android phones, HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S 2, LG Optimus x2 and the Motorola Atrix are the ones to look for. The Arc looks ok, but it really is last years tech. Personally, I am waiting for reviews on the HTC and the Sammie before I splurge the cash.

I'm not looking at an iPhone as I already have an iPod Touch and don't really need the same thing again, just with phone capabilities!

You've done it again haven't you, you just can't help it. A revealing insight into a total Apple goon who judges people by their mobile phone

You can't honestly be like this in real life surely. Have you got any proper friends, or just acquaintances?

And thanks for the offer, but I'm a little more discerning than to take pocket money off a teenager

Clearly not.

Has had absolutely dreadful reviews, and the general word on most dual cores that I have come across is that for the present time, the technology is pretty much superfluous as top end single cores can handle things just fine.

Strange how everyone contributing to this thread is saying your phone is a bit shit and outdated.

Do you think you may have made a mistake?

Clearly not.

I've touched a nerve haven't I?

Your type are commonplace amongst the Apple fraternity unfortunately.

No real mates, go down the pub with a few acquaintances and bore them rigid with mobile phone arguments once he's had a few jars. They rapidly get dropped for new and more interesting folk who don't judge people on what phone they carry (you really gave the game away with your twat-phone comment didn't you ;)).

I notice you didn't respond to

a) That you're an Apple goon
b) That you don't really have any proper mates
c) That you're a teenager

Sad fucker

I've been using an Arc for a few months now and I've got to say that it's the best xperia device SonyEricsson have made. The SE software which has been on previous xperia devices has been cut down dramatically as this was distracting from the Android platform and making the experience shite.

The people comparing android to iphone, lets be honest the iphone is a crap phone overall, apple limit practically everything so there are only one or two customisations which customers can change. Compare this to android where you can customise practically everything and you get a much better user experience! Just remember that apple charge for everything, in fact probably overcharge as they have a monopoly on apps.Thy even stifle creativity in apps due to their reviewing of every single app and also rejecting apps deemed not appropriate even though it may be something users want, luckily you don't get this on android.

BTW if anybody is thinking about the playstation phone I wouldn't bother, the gaming platform is crap. The key selling point of the device is the games but the playability and graphics are from 10 years ago at least. When I saw it I was expecting some good graphics in line with other handheld devices but all SE have done is port PS1 & PS2 games onto the phone, they have not made any effort to update the games since they were first programmed! Its a very poor experience and I would suggest to save your money on that one and get a dedicated phone and separate games console/handheld device

Have you used an iPhone and actually known how to get the best out of it? Just the above statements suggest you haven't and are talking a little bit rubbish...

Yep, I've used an Iphone and it is a load of crap compared to android, 99% of the mobile phone nerds sitting around me would agree too

Not sure why people are being so partizan about this tbh.

I personally think it's great that Sony are finally offering decent phones for people who can't afford the iPhone 4.

You didn't answer my question, have you used one properly? How long did u use it?

The reason I ask is IMO you need to use something for a good few months to start to get the best out of it and realise what it can/cant do.

Android is amazing, I won't deny that - I am going to grab the Galaxy S2 when it's out, give it another good run. See how things have progressed since I last properly tried Android. If it's loads better I will keep it and flog the iPhone 4, if it isn't I will sell it. Like to try new shit!
