Probably because, I’d imagine, because most people in the uk/us are white so if people are posting a picture of an all white couple they’d just describe it as a couple. People add racial qualifiers more with interracial couples etc so those images get hit first. Search “couples” and they’re mostly all white

That explanation doesn't seem entirely right though, if someone searched interracial couples they'd search interracial couple surely, there's no need for the word white to be involved
