Good, the Bad and the I hate their faces - Sunderland managers

In the 12 years since Bruce left, Moyes and Ross are the only managers to start and finish the same season, which is crazy.

Like - Reid, Keane, Mowbray. Possibly O'Neill

Indifferent - Wilkinson, McCarthy, Sbragia, Poyet, Advocaat, Allardyce, Coleman, Ross, Johnson

Can't stand - Bruce, Di Canio, Moyes, Grayson, Parkinson, Neil

I still think Grayson was the worst appointment in my lifetime.
Seemed a decent bloke but fuck me he was clueless. Imagine him trying to inspire a team. Well we saw it in STID.

Forgot about Di Canio and Ross.

PDC was just off his chops and Ross just didn’t seem a big enough character to manage a club of our size.

Moyes was a disgrace. When he said before the season started we were going to be in a relegation battle I would have sacked him on the spot.

A couple of good years at Everton then shite ever since.

Some shite there mind.

What’s interesting is there seems to be few, if any, who went on to manage a bigger club or have any success other than Big Sam taking the England job.
Moyes did win a European trophy last season unfortunately

Liked Ross. Thought we made a mistake sacking him.
Bloody hell, Danny the Draw, his career has skyrocketed since he left us 😂 .His downfall was not being able to persuade the shysters to keep Maja for the rest of the season.
Howard Wilkinson!!!? You must just be a young un.
What an absolute nutter and a disaster, but when you think out of all of them he had the best credentials when he came to the club. He won the first Premier League with dirty Leeds.

The first 18 months were great under Bruce.
After we lost Bent, we failed to replace him adequately and things went to shit, we seemed to be plagued with injury problems which seem to follow Bruce everywhere. His constant deflection in the build up to him getting the sack and subsequent whinging massively soured things.

The fitness issues were a total joke. He didn’t exactly set a good example though constantly looking like a fat old woman going to a slimming world weigh in

More like not being able to convince Maja that League 1 was better than Ligue 1. He chose to leave. That isn't anybody's doing but Maja's.
He wanted to leave, but we could have kept him until his contract expired (and we would have been promoted at this stage IMO), however they chose to sell him mid season and waste the proceeds X 2 on Will Grigg (who was never quick enough to be on fire).
