This is definitely a positive result for Newcastle, means they still have an outside chance of staying up.
They had that before the game and they've just dropped 2 points' in a home game' with only 2 left.

Agree.... mighty mags stay up and almost qualify for yoorup while sorry sunderland drop down to the russell fosters under 12's third divisionStaws being clutched left, right and centre![]()
I know I'm probably being too negative. After our win at Norwich I just hoped they'd have another Bournemouth type home game v Swansea then lose to city. To see them win one and do decent in the other just has me anxious, we've been kicked in the balls that often you wouldn't be a Sunderland fan if you didn't at least half think "be typical if these ***** end up pulling it out of the bag". A point probably was about fair but like I say their one goal shouldn't have counted, they didn't come really close many other times and when the assistant showed five minutes I was more anxious they'd win it than think "gerrin, they'll concede here". Just been texting my mate and saying if Liverpool do their job I'll feel much happier, and I'll be positively delighted when one of the two games I can just see them getting 6 points from ends up in a draw/ defeat

If Man City had hammered them then they might have been curtains for them with such a mentally weak side, this keeps their mood positive about staying up.
Any points against Man City are a bonus.
It seems people are forgetting we had a great win on Saturday. If we do what we need to do it won't matter what they do.
Seriously thought it was funny what was your thinking. Ps I must of pressed extra key.Are we on to golf now?![]()

And if Newcastle had won they'd have been flying ....... I'll take them dropping 2 home points and staying 2nd bottom.
Agree with most of what you've said, as I usually do, but Newcastle have sometimes pulled these performances out at home, even under McClaren.
They've been poor away and I can't see them finding Liverpool so slack at the weekend tbh.
And of course our mood isn't positive after Saturday eitherAnd if Newcastle had won they'd have been flying ....... I'll take them dropping 2 home points and staying 2nd bottom.

@dangermows ??I'm fairly certain that a piss poor Aston Villa side who "roll over for everyone" took a point at St James Park
I'm not too disappointed but Liverpool need to be at the races. Newcastle were all huff and puff with very little quality. If that had have been us numerous posters would have blasted the result but because it's them......
Dependant on what happens at Anfield, Sunday could be a bonus game for us, we may as well go all out for it
Soz but I've read that 5 times and I'm nene the wiser.Seriously thought it was funny what was your thinking. Ps I must of pressed extra key.
What and go through that all again I'd be killed offStill..can we just rewind back to about 2:45pm on Saturday please?
Me fatha just said the same thing
It's not a "good" result for us like, not horrific though.
Plus, if we were in their position and drew that game there would be a full blown meltdown on here.
