Good places to go backpacking by train

Anybody hoy a route up? Always fancied the Cinque Terre but that's never a week.

You’re in Pompey try the Cinque Ports. They’re trainable. Hastings, New Romney, Hythe, Dover n Sandwich.
The UKs “Royal Navy” before there was a Royal Navy. Of course they didn’t do it for nowt. Granted Tax Free status by the Tudor royals in exchange for bothering the French a couple of times a year they weren’t daft them lads.
William The Conquerer had a similar deal with them anarl in his early days in case the invasion didn’t work out. Tax free for the locals and he gave the land between them and London to his most trusted lads divvied up into straight London to coast line packages which he figured would give him ease of travel in event of having to leg it back home.

I've done them on me bike man. Didn't even need a passport to get out of Hampshire.

Anybody done any? Did a great trip around the bottom half of Sri Lanka recently (with a bit of bus travel hoyed in). Can anyone recommend any good trips that lasts about 7-10 days?
