Good luck Jack Ross

Never met him so no idea if he's a good bloke or not but whatever. He tried his best and drew one one too much. But too negative for me.

He'll do well I think but maybe a bit too soon for him here. Understand why he took the chance and will stand him in good stead for the future but the pressure of being at a club like ours in this league was just too much for him. Just needs to start again at a smaller club with lower expectations.

I’d have loved him to succeed if he succeeds the club succeed and thats all we want. 2 Wembley wins and things might have looked very different for him. Fine margins in football.
Good luck to him I hope he goes on to do well

This will have been an excellent learning curve for him, neither he nor us could have expected how big of a job it was likely to be. Can hold his head up high.

His expectations didn’t match what the clubs were...not sure any decent size club will work out for him.

I sincerely believe the bloke gave his all and he comes across as a very decent bloke.

Really hope he goes on and has a successful managerial career.

Fair words , but , after having to watch them 18 months , can probably think of 5 ok games. f***ing attrocious.
And I have come to the conclusion any manager who plays Charlie Wyke can fuck off.
Let's see !!

Likeable, intelligent, articulate guy. It hasn't worked, and I'm glad he's gone, but wish him all the best in the future. I'd think Hearts or Hibs will be looking for a new manager soon enough, could well see him up here.

Rumours rife up here that JR will replace Paul Heckingbottom at Easter Rd...Hecky style of footie not universally admired by the Hibs support..

He sets his sides up not to get to get beat, rather then setting them up to win. That’s why it didn’t work out, in a nutshell.

That mentality was largely fine for the clubs he’s managed at previously and would be fine if he was managing us three seasons ago, when our objective was to not get relegated. It doesn’t work when the objective is to get promoted which requires winning games, though. I don’t dislike him. His “philosophy” just didn’t fit with the goals of the club.

Really? You think he took the interview and then said, I set my teams up not to get beat? He knew when he came here the goal was automatic promotion, which would align itself to winning games. I agree with you that with his other jobs he had to set his teams up like that. He has us organised and compact and yes hard to beat, there must be something else going on because it’s like all of the life has been sucked out of him and he’s forgot how to manage to win.

Aye agreed, I think it was underestimated by many the job he done when he came in, personally I think the job he done in his 1st season was outstanding & he just fell short at the final hurdle, best of luck for the future!
